Back on the grass but can't see him playing first team football over the next few week's..

Afolabi will get his chance as backup to Eddy. Good player as well..

Lennon saying Bayo could be out for 6 weeks if surgery is needed. Essentially until the January window.

Simply can't afford Edouard getting injured now.

Aye him or Shved should be able to play backup for now.

Bit mental we left Eddy on so late knowing this..

    Unnecessary risk..

Shved looks out the picture to be honest. Was buzzing to see him get a shot when he came in..

Wouldn't be surprised if we loaned him out in January..

If there’s going to be a reliance on anyone as a lone striker should Eddy get injured it definitely won’t be Shved; too slight, not match fit, not settled properly and well out the picture.

Griff coming back sharp would be a godsend right now.

Definitely a chance for Afolabi to step up now, might make a cameo against Motherwell.

Crocked Vakoun Bayo has been named in Ivory Coast's Under 23s African Cup of Nations squad...despite facing potential knee surgery.

The Celtic hitman will see a specialist next week after undergoing a scan with Neil Lennon admitting the imposing striker could face an operation.

But the Ivorians have named him in their squad for the tournament which takes place in Egypt from November 8-22 after claiming they had received permission from the Parkhead side to include him.

Ivory Coast manager Ibrahim Kamara said: "We have negotiated with a host of top European clubs to get permission to pick our best players for this important tournament.

They include Vakoun Bayo of Celtic, Toulose's Ibriham Sangare, Chelsea keeper Nicolas Tie and Idrissa Doumbia of Sporting Lisbon.

"So we are grateful for the help received by these clubs to use their players."

Lennon admitted after Celtic's win over St Mirren that the 22-year-old could be out for a period of time.

He explained: "Bayo's seeing a specialist. It's not good.

"So if he does need surgery we are looking at maybe six weeks

We should give Afolabi a chance ASAP. Really need Griff back though. Bayo could probably do a job for us given time to bed in, but that's looking less and less likely as time goes on. May have to forget about him making it here?

On a side note, Jack Aitchison has been banging them in out on loan...

Unfortunate he's got an injury, but the only upside(s) of it is that we have Griff coming back to the perif......the prorifa.......the profiterole.......ah * it, the fringes of the first team again.

Afolabi and the other wee guy playing forqard for the youth team who's name is escaping me now should be brought in aswell.

Can't mind being so excited about a new signing but starting to feel gutted thinking it's not going to happen. Obviously an excellent high energy exciting player but he appears to be cursed by injuries far more than normal.

Please * let us rebuild him our Bayonic man.

I don't know about that tbh. It seems our whole squad, for many years now is either injury prone or there simply has to be something wrong with the Lennoxtown pitch. It has to be investigated.

We had an average of 10 games per player last year lost to injury
