    He just looks so clumsy.

I get that he needs some game time and it might be a confidence thing, but you need to hit the ground running here and it's not happening.

I'd loan him out in January, see how he gets on, it's paid off with McGregor, Ajer and Christie in recent years.

Think some are being overly critical of him and maybe judging him against some of the incredible stuff we're seeing off Édouard just now. I think that's harsh, Eddie is an exceptional player.

Aye, Bayo is at times rustier than a tin roof that's not been painted since the 1980s but he's putting himself about when he's on and has chipped in with a few goals.

Hopefully he gets the nod on Wednesday and we see him take another step forward. Service is going to be key to his success, he's not going to beat 4 guys and curl it bottom corner like Eddie did today. He needs balls swung into the 6 yard box.

There's no doubt he's got talent..

He needs game time and it's a hard balance though as we can see he's rusty when only getting these wee cameos..

It's tough for him, edouard is so important to us it makes him almost undroppable. He's just going to have to be patient, bide his time and hopefully he can take his chance when it gets it.

I feel a bit sorry for him but some are being overly critical, quelle surprise.

Give him time ffs. There was a chance today where Forrest could've slipped him in but decided to shoot instead and skied it. The guy needs service.

His issue is always going to be that he needs a run in the side and he is literally not going to get it unless Eddy is injured or suspended.

Would like to see him start mid week and have Eddy on bench, just in case.
    Agree he needs game time.

VAKOUN BAYO looks set to miss tomorrow’s Premiership clash with St Mirren after being sent for a scan.

The Celtic striker was seen limping at Lennoxtown as Neil Lennon’s men prepared for the visit of the Buddies.

The news will come as a blow to Lennon with Odsonne Edouard his only fit recognised striker.

However, SunSport understands Leigh Griffiths is making good progress as he targets a return from injury and hopes to be training with first team squad this week.

    Ffs.

Was the ideal game to give Eddy the night off and get a full 90 into Bayo's legs as well. Wonder if Afolabi will make the bench now?

Most of the game time he gets is when we’re already comfortably ahead against teams and it’s hard to get going when your team mates have dropped down a gear just trying to see out the game. I think we’ve seen some wee moments to suggest there’s definitely something there, he’s the type of striker I personally love seeing, someone that can get in the 6 yard box and put the defender in the net with the ball if necessary.

Long long way behind Edouard in quality. Id be worried if Eddy was to sustain a injury that Bayo would be capable of doing a good job for us. From what ive seen so far Griffiths is a far better player, we need to get him back to fitness. We cant rely on Bayo to be our only option up front if Eddy is unavailable. Wouldn't be surprised to see us bring in another striker in January.

There's a few thing's he has over Griff to be fair..

Looks quicker. Better in the air obviously. Stronger as a lone striker which is important. He's shown quite a few glimpses of being better linking up than Griff..

Griff has some key one's over him though. Finishing which is massive. First touch. Instinct. Is polished/isn't raw. Excellent at set pieces..

What is the state of play with Griff? Thought Lenny said he is back training?
