    Just in case anyone wasn’t aware..

    Celtic u19 will be playing Real Madrid u19 at 3pm on Tuesday in the UEFA Youth League.

    A nice little warm up for the main event later that evening..

    Was looking through our results the last time we were in this and it was wee Jack Aitchison and Mikey Johnston as the star men for us.

    McInroy, Henderson in there as well..

    Aitchison now plying his trade in the lower tiers in England and Johnston has just been riddled with injury after injury. McInroy and Hendo at other SPFL clubs.

    Hopefully a few from this crop will be able to make the step up to the first team and make an real impact, unlike the previous group…got a lot of hope for Vata in particular.

    Just goes to show though...if memory is not leaving me here, the difference in drop off we've seen in youth system within last 10 years

    When we were regularly competing in some sort of European youth tournament? Can't remember the * name but I'm sure we were regularly given a good account of ourselves.

    Then we aren't involved in that...years of neglect domestically in terms of competitive games, losing top talent to bigger clubs around Europe and this is what it gets us.
