When do Sion come into the tournament? :56:

Joking aside, I feel bad for the Athletic team. You only have to look at their faces to see how much it meant to them.

How much I would love to see Celtic lift that trophy.

I'm was watching it on TV and Madrid weren't dominating the second half. Maybe your stream was delayed.

Lets hope he does so he doesn't get close to Larsson's record of being the all time UEFA/Europa league top goalscorer.:icon_mrgreen:
He would still need a lot of goals to get near him though.

every uefa cup/europa league since 2002 has been won by a team from the iberian peninsula or the former soviet union

Since when was having 10 men behind the ball and countering controlling a game? :56: they were the better team in the first half. But you said they were in control during the second half they were defending for their lives at that point.

Yes. When we got beat off Braga, I didn't know how good they were. But they ended up being unbeaten at home in the CL and Europa that season including beating EPL teams along the way.

They showed a header from Big Dan and then a random clip of Scott McDonald :97::56: Could have shown us score a goal instead, no?

not really they were just winding the clock down and picking their passes, as I said I posted that after the 70th minute before that bilbao was controlling the game

    Let the people sing,
Absolutely gutted for Bilbao really thought they could do it tonight. You could tell it was a young team at times and the occasion overwhelmed them with so many nervous players giving loose passes all the time. I just hope all the clubs with huge bankbooks get told where to go by the Bilbao board. Keep this team together and they will be back! Who cares if big money is offered for Martinez, Llorente etc - due to the cantera policy the club both doesn't need to sell as much as other clubs and it needs to keep a hold of the good players when they come along.

Was surprised to even see Celtic in it, was expecting it to be the usual Premier League Bias with a couple of clips here and there of other teams. Would have been nice to see a goal though. :50:

Radamel Falcao has to be one of the best strikers of this generation. His movement, power, finishing, technique... he just has everything. What a player.
