That is crazy :smiley-laughing002: Another mad animal story is when Barca fans threw a pigs head onto the pitch during El Clasico after Figo did the dirty on them.

I like it mate, high tempo, good pressing all working together as a team and solid defensively...

    Effective...

    * maybe too alien to what we see every week...:smiley-laughing002:

I would like to see a Madrid Munich final. I think we would see the most entertaining game then even though you never know at this stage of competitions with nerves etc but it's most likely. I'd like Munich to win it but I think Madrid's name is on the cup this year for some reason, just a feeling.

I agree with everything you said there and that's why it's so counter intuitive I can't get into their style. I loved it the season they won the league but they were the underdogs then. Doesn't feel the same now. I still admire them though and what they're achieving. I hope they hold onto Simeone, I seriously doubt anyone else could ride the elephant like him.

I don't mind it, they work hard as * for each other. I like players who put the effort in and press like they do, always had a soft spot for workhorses who run themselves into the ground for the team. They do spoil games though to frustrate others but it's effective, plus they can play a bit aswell.

I fancy Atletico to go through now. Would rather see a Real v Bayern final but Atletico are a very tough nut to crack and I can see them nicking a goal in Munich. Hard to see Bayern scoring the three goals they would then need.

Whoever goes through, I hope Real Madrid win the tournament.

That's the problem with modern football, it's placing greater importance on the above.

Fantastic if you're an Athletico fan, * poor if you're a neutral. Who wants to watch a team (as a neutral) that barely concedes and always scores then protects their lead.

We watch football to be entertained with goals and creativity. Which is why Barcelona, for all their faults, should be a favourite for every neutral. And they generally are.

I know what your saying but I like the grit that Athletico show... That level of organisation and teamwork can be a thing of beauty too..

And contrasting styles and ethos are what make the game what it is..

I found tonight's game really entertaining..

Atletico do negativity but in a weirdly entertaining way, the way they started in everyones face and then the goal was absolute beaut and then after that they give nothing away with Simeone going mad on the touchline at every decision and break in play, unless Bayern pull out a worldy next week I think the CL is Atleticos.

I'm just scunnered with football in general just now, find the majority of it absolute dross.

The Premiership in particular, even allowing for the Leicester fairytale story, is boring. The only recent game of football I've enjoyed watching outside Celtic is Liverpool/Dortmund.

Aye I hate premier league football. Most boring league in the world.

Outwith us, I enjoy watching Dortmund, Barca, Atletico Madrid and that's about it most other games I end up switching off after half an hour.
