Changed their tactics from a winning formula with bombing wingers.
To slow pedestrian football, tick-tika that isn't working.

No wingers, cutting inside all the time etc. He's trying to force change when it isn't necessary.

Bayern can be quite frustrating to watch, they keep possession brilliantly, but you just want them to be a bit more ruthless.

Can see them needing at least 3 next week.

Carragher was spot on after the match. Bayern are far too slow, tippy tappy pish.

Guardiola's style of play does get boring very quickly. They were better to watch last year.

    Aye.

For a team as good as Bayern Munich, they should have a better striker. Thankfully for them they have Lewandowski coming in the summer because Mandzukic isn't good enough.

Seems to be the general consensus on here tonight. Real were sitting in, but it negated the tiki taka that Guardiola tries to play.

He seems hesitant to change when it doesn't work

How is it not working? They've already won the Bundesliga by about 20 points and reached the semi final of Champions League dismantling good teams along the way.

A Chelsea Real Madrid final would be interesting because of Mourinho... but and absolute borefest! Mourinho will just kill the game again and probably sneak a goal or penalties! Hope Atletico smash then 2nd leg!

Muller should start next week ahead of Mandzukic or maybe even Robben, both were quite ineffective tonight, Robben more so than Mandzukic to be fair.

Guardiola's teams have no plan B. They had all that possession and Real had pretty much all the best chances.

Chelsea "parked the bus" against Bayern in the 2012 final but Bayern still found a way through plenty of times, just all the chances fell to * Gomez.

The Dortmund - Madrid game in the last round showed it's gonna be a lot harder for Real away from home, but it wouldn't surprise me if Madrid won or drew again.

Think how often Robben or Ribery ran at players in the CL last year, yet I've barely seen it in the recent Bayern games in this competition. They have all that possession and barely create any chances, it's * football. Bring back the old Bayern that's a mix of all the styles, not just possession based.

Fancied Madrid strongly last night. After watching Bayern against both Arsenal & Man Utd, you had to fancy Real I thought. They run out of ideas quite quickly I think. I admire the way in which Guardiola gets his teams to play, even though there seems to be a growing bandwagon of people who all of a sudden dislike it, but you have to carve out chances to win games, and this Bayern team haven't created a lot in the games I've watched.

When he was at Barca, he had guys like Messi, Iniesta, Villa, Xavi, all players who could cut open a defence at will almost. This Bayern team doesn't really have that in my opinion. Robben is probably the most dangerous, but Madrid snuffed out any threat he posed. It's not difficult to know what Robben is going to do, it's stopping it that is normally the problem, but he was very ineffective.

In all honesty, Madrid probably should have had the tie wrapped up, and definitely deserved to win the game, all the best moments in the match fell to them, even though they had very little possession.

Think of how many times Barclona had to deal with the same thing when Guardiola was manager, but they still created chance after chance. They had the players to cut defences wide open. This Bayern team don't in my opinion. They end up going from side to side. Possession football in my opinion, is good to watch, as long as you can back that up by cutting teams wide open. With his Barca team, you always felt they could open teams up at will, this Bayern team, not so much.

Can see Atletico grabbing a last minute Iniesta-esque equaliser next week in a 1-1 or 2-2 at SB. Hopefully anyway!

What a goal that was :56:
