You dont have to register under 21s to your 25 man squad but you can add as many as you want after that. We must just not have added that many because we never thought we'd have used them anyway. So they still need to be registered but you can register as many as you want.

 

if we play 4th rate players we deserve all we get, Europe is way beyond our means. managers are there to get good players in, they dont need to cost the earth , but one thing that they should have, is the ability to make a pass, if we can get guys, that can just do that, we would have a 75 % better chance of wining an away game, but when he play pals, we are beat before we begin.

we would have had to register him because technically he didnt come through our academy by uefa standards due to his time at rangers although he was here for most of his development so it is a bullshit rule if you ask me. However I believe we didnt register him because he was hurt at the start of the season and we wanted to give the spot to someone who could play all of the games.

 

shane you are quick on the up take, you seem to have a gift to be able to read between the lines, yep we have the worse midfield, ever, and playing pals that are mirror images of themselves, dont help our cause, this has affected us for years, we are runners up most years. it is now going on four again and
if the money ain't there, it ain't there for others in the SPL this exposes us all the more, with that we have a little more money than most to spend, and when you spend foolishly by bringing in dross that's bad management for you in any ones buissness.

 

Personally like many others despite not making it through to the last 32 I think there are many positives to be taken from yesterdays game. Firstly we just got a point on the road against the joint league leaders of Seria A. No excuses about players not picked they had what is basically their team out and we matched them blow for blow in the first half. Indeed they were fortunate to get in at 1-1. In the second half yes to be fair they really raised their game and put us under a lot of pressure. But equally we also hit the post came close off 2 other corners and were denied a pk.
You don't play a game like that and not have to defend for spells. What encouraged me most was we had a go and didn't spend the whole game just packing it in. We had a go and tried to play and gave a very good team a real run for their money on their own patch.
