I agree with you Rab :50: There were many plus factors once more tonight and all in all a very satisfying team performance. Neil Lennon has done us proud constructing such a young, enterprizing and potentially great side in the making.

I thought every one did well tonight. Yes broon had a few misplaced passes but not as many as normal. I ve been one of samaras biggest critics but the last few weeks he has done well for 45 mins. He was excellent for the first half. He needs to put a few 90 min performances like that and all the fans will soon be on his side. Big Forsters best game by far

    Gutted.

I thought we did really well tonight. Let's not kid ourselves on, a draw away to the Italian league leaders is no small acheivement. Really disappointed at the goal we gave away - it was very preventable, plus on the stroke of half-time...

I think if we'd managed to create a few more chances we've had gotten the win tonight. Close, very close, and we were unlucky (that handball :31:) but I think in the end the first draw with Udinese and the own-goal in France have came back to bite us on the *.

Fraser Forster had a magnificent game, too!

We have finally found our system away from europe aswell, a sort of 4-3-3, system with in this match sammy and forrest supporting hooper, with ki, kayal and brown sitting.

That is how we need to play in away european games. The first 45 minutes we matched and even bettered a side top of a far far better league. Second half wasn't quite as good but we still got a draw. Could have lost it, could have nicked it. I am proud of that performance. We lost twice against the same team, Athletico, and didn't lose to either Udinese or Rennes who both play in leagues that have top quality players.

Onwards and upwards from here, keep the momentum going for as long as we can, give the huns a skelping on the 28th and continue an unbeaten run as long as possible. We can see on the pitch the team are gaining in confidence every time they step out on the pitch. If we show the same attitude and ability in our SPL games, i have no doubt the SPL title will be coming home.

Brown, Ki and Cha will hopefully find their places under threat in th next few weeks, if they weren't just filling in anyway... hopefully

That group of players, and the management, have certainly not disgraced themselves like many thought they would. Superb effort from every single one of them, and if we had a bit more luck then we'd be in the same hat as top sides like Man Utd and City.

Only seen the second half due as I was working until 8 but what I seen was total commitment and great effort from the lads. Forster made some top top saves and we were unlucky not to nick another.

This tournament would have been great experience for us, and tonight's result will be another huge momentum boost just like the win over Rennes was.

Well done Celtic, we're on the road again.

One of Celtics best European performances I think. Big change from when we got pumped of Sion away. Fraser Forster is on fire these days.

Come on mate, I don't know about anyone being "fanboys" but I do know everyone here is a Celtic fan. I don't care who does well - as long as they're wearing a green and white top!

Kayal did nothing good tonight - but crucially, nothing wrong either.

Brown gave the ball away 3 times, very poorly, that I counted and I was watching on a * stream that kept cutting out so I may have missed some others. He can't win the ball when he tackles, ironically the only time I saw him win the ball it was given as a foul when their boy dived and Cha got booked for it! :56:

It's not people being harsh for no reason, there's no personal vendetta against Broony - quite the opposite, I think we all love him and sing his name all the time and look back and laugh profusely everytime we see him doing the "Broony" and Ibrox.

But we all, also recognize, he is pretty woeful as a footballer.

You think it is "fanboys" being harsh on him, I would suggest it is you who is being blind and a fanboy.

Luck really wasn't our friend in this Euro campaign and everyone should do well to remember that. From the penalty that never should have been against Udinese in Glasgow, to the own goal by Cha in France.

Sometimes, you need a rub of the green in these competitions, especially when you're drawn in a group with the likes of Atletico and Udinese and it just never came for us.

We'll be back again next season, as we always are.

Lenny should have sacrificed brown, who was the worst of our defensive midfielders and is just back from injury. As ilovetheceltic says this was a great performance and hopefully the boys kick on from here now.2 away draws which we could and should have won, shame our home form wasn't as good as it usually is.

It's been individual errors which have cost us from refs and the players.
1.gifting Madrid early goal set the tone
2.soft penalty against udinese cost us 2 points
    3.cha own goal,need I explain
    4.kayal misjudging or ducking
5.a soft and unlucky goal tonight

Very proud of that performance tonyt. few of the lads showed the desire and tecnique that we knew thay had, just wernt showing it at all. thought hooper was fanstastic up front (should have scored the first one) but his hold up play in general was brilliant. for 45 minutes samaras was outstanding. after the break they doubled up on him and he wasnt in it as much. forrest for me has to learn. he has undoubted talent and played well tonyt but theirs a few things in his game that need tweaked, like his inability to just get on with a game if a foul hasnt went against him. really grates on me when i see him protesting and shouting while letting the opposition player running away with the ball. big forster in goals had 2 amazing saves and we will ned him at his absolute best for the season.

to end think it was a great performance from the bhoys and it shows that we should be up their and challenging the top boys of europe.

We need to stop signing poor players to fill the squad. This is a time for signing players such as Baba Diawara and Juhasz. CL days are almost back at Paradise.

Agree wholeheartedly. I really do feel that we could be on the verge of something great with the current squad we have assembled in the past season or two. It is simply a question now of removing the deadwood from the equation and replacing them with proven quality.

I imagine Cha, El Kad, Hoovield could fall under that category. Arguably Bangura aswell.
