Cant believe we got beat off these pansy diving *. Such a gutless performance and that includes the 3 players that turned up for the 2 legs.

Actually thought we played not 2 bad over the 2 legs. Even going 2 down tonight i still for some reason thought we had a chance.

Very annoying tho to go out to basically 3 poor moments of defending. More so when you look at who we would of had in the playoff round - big chance missed.
Fair to say that if we had bought 2 decent CB's and a RB we would of won that tie without breaking sweat.

If we are going to continue to play out from the back as much as we do then we need to find 2 CB's that are comfortable on the ball. So many goals we are conceding are down to our CBS giving away sloppy position.

Hendry looks afraid everytime he gets it. If he doesn't lose it then its usually out to jozo or back to gordon. IMO he shouldn't be close to the subs bench never mind our starting 11. Nothing against him - he tries but just isn't good enough.

Jozo is not far off. However if think he is slightly better at defending. Just as poor with the ball at his feet tho.

I love big Lustig but he is done. Has never been great at stopping a cross coming in from his side. But it seems everytime now he fails to prevent it. He barley attacks or provides the overlap resulting other teams being able to double up on forrest as we seen 2night.

2 CB's who find it hard to defend and a rb who can't stop crosses from coming into the box. Finding it hard to see what actual plan was from the celtic board.
At what point did they actually think that they would of had to invest in the 1st team squad ?

Can’t see where he stated that or alluded to it. When I read it I took it that he was surprised you didn’t sign up, say end of last season or the earlier qualifiers? Just strange time to sign on.

Not being wise after the event but........when I heard we had drawn AEK Athens I thought they would go through. They're not a great side - talent wise - but they are a settled side, they are well drilled and they all know what job they are doing. Celtic are anything but a settled side at the moment. If the two teams met again six months from now the outcome would probably be different but the fact is Celtic have completely botched this summer transfer window. In the end, that is what has bit them on the *.

A play off to get to the group stages of the Europa league if the defending doesn't improve there could be no European games for us not a great thought

Glad I missed this pish. BR really needs to earn his crust now and the board really need to support him.
Funny how our best CBs are not CBs (bitton and ajer). I’d play them until replacements are purchased. (Where the * has bitton been btw?) If they are not, the board will face stern consequences.

On another note, I hope boyata has played his last gave for us. Him and his agent can go * a goat in the hills of Belgium. Money grabbin *.

you must have missed his/her 'go back and * your goat ya hun' comment then packybhoy....that was stated, not alluded to........so why is it strange to sign up after a defeat? I would imagine people sign up after defeats, wins, draws or whatever.....there could be innumerable reasons why me or anyone else signs up on any given day.....what should I do, look at dates people signed up, see how we did that week, and if we lost, out them as a hun?.......ffs, what happened to hello, good to see you here HH?.....I understand that we're all a bit * off right now, but surely you can comment civilly on something someone says without being bad mouthed?

That’s it in a nutshell really, Athens are a more than capable side but they are someone we are well capable of putting out over 2 legs, we’ve mugged ourselves off not buying defenders and throw in the fact the new French 2 up front set up never got beyond the Alashkert game due to Dembele getting injured and things started to look harder, in amongst all this was a damned fine display at home to Rosenborg, it’s all confusing stuff how it’s turned to * so quickly and more annoying in the respect that the fans can see the fundamental defincencies sticking out a mile

I try not to get hung up on bad results especially in Europe but this one is really getting under my skin. Mainly because it was so * avoidable, if only the club took action and sorted the defence out which has been our glaring weakness for a number of years now we'd have won this tie at a canter.

Had to go into hibernation mode earlier cause I was in the height of it. We should've beat aek but FairPlay to them, wanted I think more, were braver and can actually defend. Their fans have showed us great respect too so best of luck to them with the play off. I'm so * off with regards to our team not making it, we don't deserve I think but my * with the funds we've made last couple of seasons and the quality already in the team we should've strengthened. Not fair on us fans and the club in general. Hopefully we add some defenders for the europa. Hopefully give a good account of ourselves in it.

The most annoying part of it is, it's pretty clear we were a better team than AEK and they knocked us out despite us being better, playing better, playing against 10 men for 30 minutes of the tie and them not even playing well. Gifted goals at terrible times, right before HT and 5 minutes into both halves tonight.

Best CB missing both ties, 2nd best missing 1, Best striker missing both ties, 2nd best missing 1 :31:
