They concede more goals at home than away, conceded 7 at home in Europe last season and only 2 away.

Against Olympiacos they conceded 3 at home and 1 away and against PAOK conceded 2 at home and 0 away.

So really last season all the big games they played they conceded 12 goals at home and only 3 away. So their tactics for big games at least probably work better away.

I tend to think your right in the sense that I don't see tomorrow being an open attacking back and forth game that could end 2-2 or 3-3. I think it will end up being a tense tactical battle.

 

Have to say I really have no clue what to expect from us tomorrow. It has to be said our away record against decent sides in Europe is very poor. We have had some real disasters against top sides away under Rodgers. But the performance for me in the first leg in many ways was pretty good actually just a lack of quality in the final third in the second half mostly. I think the game will prove to be a tight tactical battle tomorrow. Their speed, counter attacking and quality up front flat out scare me against Hendry and Simunoviz. Having said that we have quality and goals in our team up front as well especially if Dembele is fit that would be a real boost. We can clearly get at them in the wide areas they can clearly get at our center backs. It is a big ask for us though to go to Athens and win. We need something really special from some of our big players tomorrow.

 

Think that’s the way to go. That allows all of our best attacking players to play.

Would still let Tierney have the freedom to bomb up the wing as he is such a threat and Brown can step into the back three when Tierney is attacking.

What kind of performance we get from Lustig and Simunovic is a worry.

I dont know how this is going to play out. Im hoping we dont conceed. If we get to the 60 min mark at 0 each theyll sit back. Then we hit them with little time for a reply. Big task though.

On Big euro nights like this its vital that you turn set pieces into goal scoring opportunities. im sick of watching celtic fail to deliver decent corners and FK's. Wee mcginn would of took that role imo but we all know what happend there. But hopefully tomorrow we can beat the 1st man wae corners

Someone convince me otherwise. I know Sumunovic is a better defender than Hendry, is more experienced and aggressive but I think over the past few games, Sumunovic has been all over the place, far more than Hendry and that’s my greatest concern going if we go back 3 without Hendry.

Sumunovic just seems to get stuck in a personal tussle with a player and ends up committing stupid fouls that sees him booked or gives away frees in dangerous areas.

Hendry though, as much as I believe there is a good defender in there, this ain’t the place to give that chance to work towards that. Too much riding on this. Fair * to him also for not hiding after the Hearts game, speaking well to the media and showing intent to do well.

No idea what Rodgers will do

 

Hendry is the best defender but at the end of day for some reason he is accused for something that the rest can't manage
Lustig can't play as RB,Simunovic is the worst defender who engraved our team against Zenit Petersburg.He does many fouls, he can't mark any player,he is slow and he has no interest at all.He had an awful performance against Alashkert even from the first game.I don't understand why Rodgers considers Jojo precious.
Or not, because Rodgers said that Ajer and Hendry are the best CB of Celtic.
