I would say it's ridiculous to call tem midfielders.

Messi is more of an in side forward and David Villa, it could be agued, is a winger. Anyway back on topic. Let's get this crowd pumped :icon_mrgreen:

Messi is not a classical net-man he plays or start out of penalty box.
Ofc he's an amazing striker but Barcellona game isn't the classical 4-4-2 with top forward or 4-3-3 with 3 strikers.
It's more based on high impact midfield coping in the game till they find a opening in the enemy defense.
In fact often Barcellona plays with Fabregas as atker XD and he's not really a striker a but a midfielder. So Barca atk to me is made of midfielders re-adacted and Messi... well he's just Messi he can be anything. More than Striker!

Btw about passport for tickets and so on... that's normal in Italy.
For juventus at least works like that. There are 2 step before getting into the field!
First they will check if you have a ticket and compare it you id card (as season ticket holder they do that as well xD)for security reasons. So that if someone makes problems he's easly spotted and so on....
Second step is getting your ticket to the machine.
So first they check you ID and then check your ticket.

0-0 would be ideal I think, if we score its a bonus. We've proved already we can provide a threat away from home with pace on the wings with Sammy and Forrest so I'd fancy us to get an away goal.

2-1 at home and 1-1 in Turin is do-able.

I genuinely believe that we'll get tore apart away from home. I have no empirical evidence or european performances to use by way of justifying this assumption, it's just a horrible gut feeling that i have. I'm generally always pessimistic when it comes to us away in europe but i'm really not looking forward to the away tie in this one.

At home i'm slightly more confident, however i think the players will feel there is slightly more expectation from the fans for them to get a result in the home leg after the performances in the group stages. I think they have coped pretty well with that expectation against the likes of spartak moscow though and i just hope they can do it again.

I'm guessing Sammy and Ambrose won't be avail.

    Forster
    Lustig Mulgrew Wilson Matthews
    Forrest Brown Wanyama Ledley Commons
    Hooper

Brown providing cover on the right and Ledley on the left. Their midfield is where they win games, so think we have to play 5.

Keep hearing about their vulnerability on the left. Forrest could be the man to unsettle them.

Need Mulgrew for set pieces obviously. Commons can help maintain possession, win free kicks, and if we're lucky a peno.

I'll be concerned if I see Izzy out there.

Assuming Ambrose, Izaguirre and Samaras are out that would be my team every day of the week.

If there was ever a game to not worry about lack of atmosphere anywhere in the ground surely this is it? :icon_mrgreen:.

Suppose that's true :50:. Just hoping he's not up in like 445, that's quite an isolated area.

:50: Yeah, with our goal in Turin coming in the last minute courtesy of a dodgey * of a penalty, that would just be perfect.:celt_2:

I'd just buy off ebay, mate. These ticket selling websites were all over the news a couple of months ago as scams.
