Hooper is very quiet in games like these although he can latch on chances in a flash like the first goal v Spartak moments that change games.

Everybodys saying keep Hooper for Juve, Hooper is an absoute gift from * domestically, but in the massive games in Europe he has failed to have a great impact. Not because he is not capable of it, but we are so busy defending all the time that he doesnt get the sevice he needs. Just look at Barca at the Nou Camp.

Maybe i'm wrong, hopefully i'm wrong, but we beat Barcelona without Gary Hooper and personally if he did play i believe that magical night could have ended differently.

The thing is he is probably 100% to start in Lennys books, which is fair enough, i just hope he can give us the goods. Juve are a different team from Barca, and i'm no football manager, but i think its common sense we start 4-5-1.

If Hooper can give the type of shift that Miku gave v Barca, and backtrack and be clever with the ball and keep possesion as much as possible, and then pelt it up the park and nick a chance which we know he is more than capable of, then that would be an outstanding uplift for us. He would be going out of his comfort zone quite a bit, but i trust hes capable of it.

After all these weeks i think this game has just hit me, 2 weeks away, * me. its going to be massive, wish i was going.

Let the Bhoys show their power against the might of Europe once again. We can do it, there is no * doubt about that. Keep the Faith Bhoys and Ghirls, In Lenny we Trust :celt_2:

I think he's better suited to this type of game now than he was 6 months ago.He does'nt hang about the way he used to waiting for someone to create for him and is much better at holding the ball and bringing others into the game.In this game its our midfield and probably samaras that hold the key.

"No, Celtic was the one. No disrespect to the Hoops, but even their diehard fans would admit that this year, Neil Lennon's remarkable side is punching above its weight. They were able to deal a surprise blow to the greatest club side on the planet right now, but only the most romantic fan could see them repeating the trick across two legs with Juventus."

Shiter of a site but it seems every article I've read about these ties has us out of Europe already. Arrogant * *. I really, really hope we * pump Juventus, 3-0 in Glasgow 1-0 in Turin. They'd probably write us off in the quarter finals even if we did. I've seen nothing in Europe this season to suggest that both games will be anything other than close games. Really * irritates me; the ignorant * who write these articles know absolutely * all about Scottish football or Celtic, or indeed football in general. And while it's completely understandable to see Juve as favourites, not giving us a hope and being extremely disrespectful and patronising about our European credentials isn't. We'll have to get a list drawn up of all the people who have not given us a chance so we can write them a big GIRFUY postcard from London. I'm hugely confident about the home leg and think we'll win by a 2 goal margin, hopefully more. I think we're more than capable of getting a draw in Turin. BRING ON THE JUVE! :47::smiley-laughing002:

He scored a goal from nothing in the final group game, without which we wouldn't be having this discussion. He also scored the opening goal in our first ever away win in the Champions League proper and scored vital goals in the qualifiers. That aside his work rate in Europe is fantastic, and there's no other striker in the squad who I'd be happier with up front. Who's the alternative? Sammy can't do it on his own.

That site is a bucket load of *, obviously we are underdogs.

Also i would fancy Valencia most days of the week, they are nowhere near the team they used to be.

Mate you have nearly no chance of getting away tickets for the away game. Only 1900 tickets getting divided up by ballot. My club got 10 for barca away and 6 for Lisbon away but were told to be ready for disappointment for this game. Huge demand and not enough tickets.

I can't wait now for this game. The promo video gets you in the mood alright. Made hairs on back of my neck stand few times. Think if the fans get behind the team from the start and make it a very hostile environment juve won't know what hit them. Think we will win one or two nil at parkhead. Fingers crossed.

They're saying 7-10 days. You get the sense he's so important to Juve they'd play him even if he's not 100%.
