On the La Liga programme on Sky they are saying Juve have offered Bilbao 5 million euros so they can take Llorente just now instead of getting him for free in the summer. Bilbao have so far told them to * off, lets hope it stays that way. :50:

Whats juve's discipline like in general? Watching them again now and theyre making a few bad challenges.

Could broony go out and easily wind them up?

What an end to their game.Lazio winning 1-0, Juve equalize in injury time and go wild....two minutes later Lazio go straight up and take the lead again and go wild....then Juve go back down the other end Giovinco through on goal misses and then Marchisio somehow missed an open goal! Stoppage time madness....Juve OUT.

Lets pile more misery on them! They have definite weakness' we can expose!!

Aye, diving all over the place:) Could easily have had three yellows for diving. Lazio beasted them, just gave them no time on the ball. Great to see them win. Pirlo came on second half for a bit of a masterclass on how to find a pass out of nothing.

One things for sure, any 50-50's and they go down all the time, so we'll need to be careful. Any time they look like losing the ball a guy just falls over.

Juve can drive into attack in seconds and have six guys up their. At the back, the defense changes and sometimes they got caught with crosses into the box. All the goals i've seen against them have been from crosses. It's also possible to hit them on the counter. But my *, Lazio were immense. Juve were unlucky.

So we need all the big guys to go out and get tore right into them:)

Corners are the key, aye. We seem to be class at them when it comes to Europe as well, so it bodes well for us. And yes, most of them will go down at the slightest touch, but the players will have learned (hopefully) from facing teams from the continent so far - I realise there is a, sometimes justified, stereotype of Italian teams being worse but the point is still there in the players will be aware of this beforehand - and will be able to contend with it. I mentioned in the Serie A thread that I genuinely think in that respect we are the most honest team in the competition - I can't think of any of our players anyone could call a diver. Commons or Forrest are the closest I can think of and Forrest just gives up when touched, not dives. Commons has playing for fouls down to a fine art as well, which isn't strictly diving either. Once again Mulgrew's quality of delivery will be our main weapon as, particularly with the absence of Chiellini, we have a brilliant chance of taking goals off them through set pieces :50:

Hopefully Anelka is playing. Giovinco and Vucinic are way better players than him.

Aye, they are a great team Juve so it could go either way. We just need to keep it tight and be patient. Chances will come.

I'd get Mulgrew fired into the midfield, play Izzy in midfield at the weekend and go with one up front, Hooper, at the weekend. Need to get back to the 4-5-1 formation in preparation for this game. Play Kayal and Commons from the start and maybe bring on Miku and Stokes.

I'd rest up Samaras, if he needs it. Sometimes benefits from a wee rest.

Hopefully we'll get Forrest back for the Juve game and he can come on second half and run at them. The right hand sides an area to exploit as the game goes on.

Juve are a class act, but the more we can frustrate them the more they will leave themselves open at the back second half.

But the weakness is on crosses, hence why i thought it was daft sending bangura away, but we have Sammy, Ambrose and Wanyama, all good in the air so we need Sammy and Hooper to take free kicks off them.

Sometimes Juve were defending inside their own half with a 3-2-3 and that means you can play through the middle. Lazio didn't do that, they went out right, but the key is not to turn back if you can avoid it. Playing the ball back to defenders just plays into their hands.

We just need to turn it into a bit of a dogfight and not panic when they come haring at you. If Pirlo plays you need to get in the way of him and the ball, man marking him just doesn't really work, unless someone beasts him, i'd put Hooper on him, but it maybe works better if you put a big guy on him. Generally speaking he doesn't hold the ball for long, so it's better to cover the areas where he's gonna play it.

Hmmm, i have no idea how this one's gonna go. Giovinco and Vidal are to be watched every time Pirlo gets the ball. It is possible to mug him and maybe if you can do this, his head goes down.

Hooper can score against them, but i honestly don't know if he's the kind of player to ruffle there feathers. Right now he's playing really well, but this is a different step up in class altogether.

There's more to this team than Hooper, this is the problem. Gary Hooper relies on the ball to feet, so it depends on how we get the ball to him.

To be honest, i'd have thought Lenny would have used the break between games in the Champions League to get players on the sidelines brought into the team.

We're in a position now, where we can't really change the team. It makes us predictable.
So it depends on getting service to Gary Hooper and with him up front on his own and Samaras on the wing, i personally don't think it will work. Against lesser teams in Europe aye, but this Juve team don't like playing agaisnt a guy that can really challenge in the air, as well as being fast and tricky on the deck.

Our preparation is Lassad, Sammy and Hooper. Stokes still hasn't had enough game time to analyze him and Miku gets played in an under 20 game against Kilmarnock in purely horrific weather conditions.

The preparation has been poor and Hooper becomes insignificant in a game like this.
If he doesn't get the service. I think too much emphasis is put on Hooper somehow winning the game for us on his own.

But hopefully he does and i get shot down in flames.

I think Hooper is not really important for this game. Wanyama is vital, I don't think hooper will have many chances to perform in this game.
