UCL Last 16: Celtic v Juventus Chat

Juventus drew 1 each tonight with lazio.

 

Peluso scored a good header, but it looked like a free-kick for climbing to me. Lazio scored from a short corner kick whipped in with pace. They are a brilliant team, but we can take fouls off them and maybe sneak a win from set pieces.

The form we're on at the minute, i'd fancy Hooper, Samaras and Lassad to do damage against them. You just don't know how they would react if we did score first and then get another.

It could just as easily go the other way, but we have to go for it at home. It's our best chance of getting through.

Watched the Celtic game today then watched Juventus vs Lazio game tonight and I honestly think we have a chance against them. We had a great game, I really like our team this season, our set peices are deadly due to lennon n park bringing in big strong talented youngsters. Im glad we never went down the path of buying players for 8-10-20 million pounds and paying them * loads of money then failing. I like how we've been doing plan with possibility of full contract. Makes sense if were kind of gambling on these kids.

 

Really can't wait for this now!! 1-0 Celtic and 1-1 away

Dude THINK how can you compare a clash between First and Second in Serie A and Celtic vs nobody SPL team???

That would be like juventus vs amatorial team.
And for the Record if you watched the game a fair result would've been 3-0.
Lazio only had an amazing goal keeper (lol Barcellona should go for Marchetti instead of randoms) and tricktrack at the end due to De Ceglie fail

Guys i understand you're hopeful and so on but if you keep commenting everygame * we can do that and this maybe and maybo!!!
I don't wanna crash your hopes but... with Lazio (i repeat 2nd place in Serie A and not 12teams amatorial league) we were missing the following starters : Buffon, Chiellini, Asamoah,Lichsteiner,Giovinco,Pirlo and Vucinic for 75mins.

So care to tell me you're still hopefull watching our last game??? I DARE YOU!

Sorry dude but you said you're hopeful watching our last game while we were missing 7/11 and where we deserved a clear win instead of the draw.
First and Second you've won against Barca but look at your stats miracles won't happen everyday (sorry if i sound arrogant but that's plain reality).
Honestly how can you write "seeing how we did the last game" i simply pointed out you play in the scottish premier league composed of 12 teams where 1m pound on a player is already a big price. Where Rangers and You won 99 of last 111championships (sorry throwing numbers but you get my point). Now you're only competitor has gone bankrupt and you're the only ones left.
So please i don't wanna be arrogant but draw a line of where you stand and think that you're a decent team in a mediocre league so your wishful thinking might just be a bit over the line supported only by a miracle with Barcellona.
I'm always respectful of all the teams we meet but reading your comments since a month one would believe that our standing points are inverted.
Just to say at least be modest cause it's not like since you beat barca in a Celtic dominated game but rather in a really lucky game dominated by Barcellona. So beating barca once and in that way don't give you winning rights over Juventus, increasing at everygame where Juventus don't win.

 

I said I'm hopeful after watching you for the last couple of years and being a bit of a fan of Juve to be honest, due to having man love for Del Piero.

We aren't favourites but the tie isn't beyond us. If you believe it is, that is just arrogance.

Only 1 team to beat us there and it wasn't a superior Juventus team that previously visited us.

 

That's the difference, i'm italian and we know good that it's better to talk after than before. So infact i've never said we'd have a easy win with you. Nor i even spoken how we can do this or that.
If we win a little boost from our side else in silence and shame.
But boosting before and getting silenced later and ashamed is not the italian style.
