I remember when I was happy just to make it to the group stage of the Champions League. We can hold our heads high with the achievements we've made. Looking forward to doing it all again next season.

 

We lasted longer in the CL than Man City, Chelsea and even Man United :icon_mrgreen:

 

Honestly don't think they're that much better than us mate. Yeah 5-0 would say so but that's just the text. They are simply far more experienced, ruthless and clinical in the appropriate moments/positions.

Keep hold of our core (Forster, Wilson, Matthews, Ledley, Sammy) and we can go real far with this squad and manager.

Ah well. Not to be. We played well, Juve played a little less cheating than in their last match, and we perhaps deserved one or two goals. Can't really fault the team tonight. Every player did their bit.

Immensely proud of our progress, our team and our manager. What a rollercoaster. We had a party in the Champions League.

I thought we played pretty decent, kept the ball for most the game. Couple of additiions in the Summer and we'll be back. The first big team that runs at them through the middle will destroy them. Arrogant twats.

If I was to be critical it would obviously be the crossing which was poor and to easy for Buffon

But look at the stats they tell a story of our wee club fighting above themselves

Proud of all the players , no shame being beaten by probably the meanest defence and best counter attacking team in the CL this season. Great European journey this year with some great memories, Hope we do the same next season and keep most of the current team. Hail Hail.........applause for all....

Great run bhoys ! Well done to the bhoys and girls there tonight too ! No way are Juventus as good as they are being made out to be ! A team with better forwards and creativity will rip them a new one ! We lack a cutting edge and creativity in the last third, we also slowed it down too much ! But well done bhoys.

 

Think we can easily qualify for champs league next season,though Kayal was class tonight.

 

Ran out of steam and luck. Got the makings of a cracking team but just don't have the magic in the last third that makes the difference.

Enjoyed the run and already looking forward to next season.

Who would have thought that when we went 1-0 down to Helsinki that we would go on to reach the last 16? We've also beaten the best team in the world, Barcelona, at home and been only a few seconds from earning a point at theirs. We've also beaten a Spartak Moscow team that has had absolute fortunes spent on it home and away and placed above a very good benfica team. To lose to juventus, a team that went unbeaten in seria A last season is nothing to be ashamed of. 4 of their 5 goals were given away through our own individual mistakes and that's something we'll learn from. We have a young team that can only improve and have made millions from our run. Also the Huns are dead. Hail hail.
