People need to calm the * down. Some people are forming an opinion on a fanbase for the odd wee silly thing someone says on the internet. They are our rivals in this tie so they`re hardly going to be cheering us on ffs. I for one quite like Juventes and still do. I`m not going to start disliking a club just because of what was really one * player last night. I have just read through some of the thread and there are some comments bordering on racism

After watching the highlights again, i cant help thinking that we played right into Juventus hands, the early goal was perfect for them, they knew we would come full throttle at them, so they sat back and soaked up the pressure, then the final 10-15min the players where visibally tired out so they hit us then..

This is the same patter used by another Juve fan on here previously, who has obviously been banned on his other account :smiley-laughing002:

Same person, different IP address. Stop being so obsessed and support your own club, whether it be Juventus or The R*ngers.

I know there is absolutely no chance in * of it happening, but imagine we won 4-0. The reaction of some of these 'Juve' fans would be incredible.

BTW, the ref was so "corrupted" that denied Matri's gol.

For Juventus it was necessery to score twice to have one......if there hadn't been Marchisio's tap-in, the action would have continued and the replay couldn't do anything.

........ and about 2001's match, I wait for someone who talks about the 2-2 penalty for Celtic.
The two most invented penalties in history in the same match, but the first one was for Celtic.

Mr. Lennon didn't do any referement in press conference.
    Why?

    I wait.

Thought our penalty in 2001 was a stonewall penalty and Lennon did refer to it. He pointed out that after the penalty you had to stop grabbing our guys.
I have to keep reminding people that this is a big deal, because set-pieces are where we score a lot of our goals.

Absolutely. Only thing is, he wasn't corrupt; he was just very, very bad. If Marchiso hadn't scored it would have been an injustice, luckily he did, so the referee's incompetence didn't actually affect you in the end. It did affect us.

That is the assistant behind the goals job, not the referee in that instance.

It was over by a quarter of an inch and had it not been followed up it is pure assumption to suggest it wouldn't be given.

The referee cheated Celtic as did the Juventus players but that is not surprising. A club of cheats.

Very strange game. We played very well but they are just so efficient at exploiting any weakness and Ambrose had a mare. Some great passing though. Perhaps we were naive and played too open though. I get that feeling because it was kind of old Celtic of the 80s in Europe out there - good attacking football but shipping goals. We may have got a draw if we had been more negative and super packed the back. Its hard to pull of playing an attractive game against such clinical opposition. BTW I thought Broony was absolutely magnificent out there last night.

My point exactly. I hope this stops all the 'let's go two up front' fans from moaning in the future.

We should have played for the draw. Now a days, your best chance of progressing is scoring away.

And yes, Brown is a player no midfielder wants to play against.

Our tactics were spot on, we put a side assembled with ten times the amount of money than ours to the sword.

We were cheated out of the opponents going down to 9 men and at least 2 penalties.

    A disgrace. Europe's shame game.
