We know Celtic doesn't have the most talented squad. We don't have the money like clubs in England or Italy or Spain. We make the most of what we have and play to our strengths and we have done very well to get this far.

If you are going to sign up just to be disrespectful, you have wasted your time.

 

Tbh people on here might be thinking why would juve fans come on here, well most of the "fans" on English speaking juve forums are dicks.

Even though its an opposing fan I like to discuss the matches because its part of the experience- I don't know any celtic fans so otherwise id have no clue what they thought.

I know the exact feeling but if everyone is honest to themselves when a decision goes your way you just accept it but if it goes against you it makes you more angry than anything. So I just think its disrespectful to brand juve cheats etc because we are where we are on merit and we ourselves are overachieving at this point by being close to the quarters- it takes away from the undoubted hard work out team puts in.

Just like I'm sure you all got * for "parking the bus" against barca and being lucky or whatever, but you won and other fans taking away from a victory which was hard fought is disrespectful imo. I will defend my team but I'm not going to start insulting celtic like some as I actually respect them infinitely more than I did at 7:45 last night.

We should be talking about the football.

I find it abhorrent that a lot on here can only bring up unproven "match fixing" as an insult (an insult that, ironically, is borne from the very mainstream media coverage over here that a great many of us proclaim to distrust and hate) instead of concentrating on the game last night in which - difference in culture aside - we are justified in saying Lichsteiner was fouling all over the place and that we were the better team.

 

Celtic have dominated? But what game did you see? I told you that Juve do not usually play like this, you have kept possession only because we have allowed you to do that. But it was a useless possession, I remember only one occasion for Ambrose and then I can not remember the others. In football, remember that if you lose 1-0 you can complain for something, but if you lose 3-0 you just shut up.

 

Match fixing etc is a load of bollocks.

What isn't was the treatment of our players being disged out at set-pieces and the referee allowing the blatant cheating to continue.

 

I agree. Wouldn't call it cheating though, I'd call it manhandling, wrestling, fouling and the referee being a spineless *.

 

The referee allowed Juve players to continue to foul from corners. If he took action, they would have stopped.

It's his fault, not the Juventus players.

 

Do you know that Spanish soccer is different from yours? Do you know that African soccer is different from European soccer? If you know this, you can say that every team plays in different ways. But if Scottish teams in all the history have won something only few times comparing with Spanish or Italian teams and you would have to know that playing in that way against a technical team allows you to win only a match over 10. and you won against Barcelona...so the bonus is gone.

 

If you don't want to listen to the other side of the argument then you can leave.

*-for-tat battle? Show me from below where Hooper was pushing Lichtsteiner as much as Lichtsteiner was grabbing Hooper. You can't because it didn't happen. Hooper was standing his ground (or trying to anyway) by marking the 'keeper, which is a fair and legal thing to do. As soon as the corner is kicked that idiot of a ref should have blown for a penalty.

 

It is cheating just as much as diving is to me.

 

I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of last night’s match being fixed.

There are now allegations surfacing in another thread about the officials celebrating with the Juventus players.

And you do have to wonder if Ambrose was bought prior to the game. He was certainly enjoying the company of the Juve players, grinning and joking with them at the final whistle.

I cannot believe this. I mean. wake up and have a look to international sports newspapers: only the uk ones say that you lost because the Ref. this is out of the world. you reckon lichsteiner is a cheater and disturbing the goalkeeper is correct? I saw celtic players asking for the penalty kick on EVERY cross. effectively there was a mistake from the Ref: matri's gol was IN. you are proud of your team. you says juventus did not play football. well.. I saw celtic trying only to put cross, cross, corners, corners, that is the only way you play. running and crossing. only two times you were close to score, for the rest only * shoot from 25m. read germans or french sports websites and realize what they think. the truth is that celtic people were SURE to win.
and also..if you think juventus plays as yesterday you will have a big surprise. ask * chelsea. you run. we score. if you dont like try with olympic games.

 

Fair enough, I was raging don't get me wrong. But to say it was unexpected or anything isn't true. The blame lies with the ref.

Hooper had not to disturb Buffon. If he do that, it's normal that a defending try to contrastate him.

 

Not here but he did push him that is why he got booked but its understandable if hooper raises his hand but I think hooper was booked because the Juve Ayer was! This gif is after the yellows and shows he continuasly done it
