Unfortunately Celtic supporters have bad experiences in the past in Turin - both from Juventus fans and the police so it is understandable some of the negative reaction towards the draw/trip.

Here's hoping for two excellent games. Looking forward to being at the new stadium.

Has it been confirmed the bars will be shut?

They did that in 2001 because the huns were there in '95 and wrecked the place so they saw Glasgow and shut up shop.

I was there and most of the bars would let you in, sell you 2 drinks each then ask you to leave, later on in the day we found a bar that let us sit for a good while. Was on the thomas crook trip so got the bus from centre to the stadium 2 hours before kick off and there was stalls and guys going about with trolleys selling cans of beer for 1 euro :icon_mrgreen:

Didn't experience any bother outside the ground with Juve fans and inside was ok until we equalised then their fans started throwing frozen bottles of water, batteries, even shoes! Worst thing was that the line of riot police would step aside and let their fans get a good run up to throw! :54:

Where do you book your tickets? :p
I tried to look it up just for the fun of it, and a ticket from Manchester to Milan costs around 70 pounds each way. :)

I have to say that for me, it is the worst draw possible.
I think we will lose if im honest, and they will play a typical Italian game and win with the minimum of fuss.Hopefully i am wrong!

At least with the German draws i think the games would be exciting!

It will be full no doubt. Our stadium is basically sold out every Serie A game. It wasn't sold out against Nordsjælland and Shakhtar though, but that was because of some very expensive tickets and the fact that those tickets weren't included in the season pass. However, it was sold out against Chelsea, and I can't imagine the stadium not being sold out for this game. It was sold out in the Coppa Italia 1/8 game against Cagliar after all. :86:

Well, if you think Juventus plays a typical old fashioned Italian style, then you couldn't be more wrong.

I know they play good football mate as i have watched them several times this season, but i think they will play different in the knockout stages and revert back to what comes natural for Italian clubs.

Well, if you have had bad experience, you know better than me, of course.
For what i can, I apologyze for Juventus supporters.

Our stadium is always sold out...because they didn't built as big as Juve are worthy. For a last16- second leg will be simply impossible to find some ticket:
The away supporter area is worthy of around 1.800/2.000 tickets

    Can we make next round?

With the draw being made earlier...i see celtic have been put under worldwide spotlight yet again, various media outlets already are all over the draws and no less added to it, is celtic.

I have noticed many people stating that celtic are probably the only british team with a realistic chance, now im not stating juventus are not any good, far from it,but taking into consideration of man utd v real madrid i can see real going through easily.Going onto Arsenal i think they have just drawn one of the finalists of the tournament and will walk all over arsenal.....with celtic, again we have been overlooked, this is to our advantage i think....with juventus fans already looking into the next round we can only look at this tie.

I think this will be our toughest test yet,no one gave us any chance of beating barca and i belive no one is giving us a chance of beating juventus, but i believe if we continue to play as a strong unit, get a goal more before going over to turin ,we have a great chance.

So do you think Celtic can make it through to the next round?,and do you think we could be the only british side through?

How good would that be?...for celtic the outsiders/minnows to be the last britsh side in the CL last 8?

    Indipendently from nowadays Juventus side,
I've never understood why people alwasy talk like that about italian teams.

I 've been following international football for the last 30 years....... I don't remember many 5-4 or 6-6 from challenges between not-italian teams.
And I don't remember the great italian teams staying with defensive attitude either.

Spain won WC in 2010 scoring 6 goals......and the same way this Euro Cup, excpetion for the Final when they found only the rest of the Italy team and they could walk on them.

Chelsea_Manchester Final in 2008 was so boring..... and so on

I think we have a chance as do utd and arsenal.

If we write off other teams before a balls been kicked then we cant moan when people do it to us! Its s tough tie for us but i think as long as they dont score at paradise then we've got a shot!

What makes you think that? I honestly don't know why you would think that.

Before the last game in the group stages, Juventus basically had a knockout game. A draw would have been a great result for both Shakhtar and Juventus, making them both go through. A lose would have meant that Juventus would have been out. It would have been classic Italian to settle for a draw there, but instead Juventus went for the win in order to win the group!

Very good point. However, I see no point in convincing people about things used to be. Let's move on. :D
