    Forster
    Lustig Ambrose Van Dijk Izaguirre
    Kayal Mulgrew
    Forrest Commons Samaras
    Stokes

I hate to not include Ledley, especially as Mulgrew slows us down a lot. But Mulgrew is always on my team-sheet.

We will need to be prepared to have only 30-40% possession, and take our chances ala Spartak Moscow game away last year.

Agree 100% with this. Keeps us firm at the back, ready for low levels of possession, but gives us enough going forward too. Would just need to make sure Sammy, Commons and Jamesy do their bit tracking back.

I'd also play big Balde instead of Stokes, who's looked like he couldn't care less the last few games, totally flat and can't find the back of the net. Still not totally convinced by Balde, but he seems like an enigma, and in a game that where the primary focus will be defence, it'd be nice to have someone up there who could just pull something randomly brilliant out of the bag.

They were much better on the ball and created a lot more chances than we did. Some of their finishing was borderline embarrassing. Had they been more clinical they would have won the game.

It will be a different type of game in Amsterdam. Which is a positive for Celtic.

They were * in possesion outwith a couple of good moments, they passed it about there defence and goalkeeper far too much. We could have Van Dijk, Forster and Ambrose do that all day and we'd all be * furious rather than say 'we were good in the ball'.

Were you at the game? They were not much better on the ball at all. In fact they were much worse. The fact they were beat was nothing to do with them being poor up front and everything to do with the fact they were outsmarted by a side that is growing in maturity in Europe with each passing game.

I didn't see one shot from an Ajax player I would describe as anything remotely like embarrassing. They simply weren't good enough to break down our defence or beat our goalkeeper.

The small black boy they had was through on goal and hit it right at forster, it was terrible finishing.

That's a risky move but one that just might pay dividends. Stokes is more proven and consistent so for the few chances that the striker will likely see I would hate to see Balde miss one that Stokes would bury. That said, Balde is a bit of a wild card and could bring something to the game that Stokes wouldn't. It's a high risk, high reward move to slot Balde in for Stokes and one that I personally probably wouldn't do and I doubt Lenny will either.

Exactly. Celtic is very popular amongst many Feyenoord fans, not just recently but going back years.

Also going by the other week, the majority to 95% of Ajax groups lot seem to love the zombies...

Didn't Lennon say Balde still has a lot of work to do on his hold up play?

Obviously none of us have really seem him try to hold the ball up to wait for the rest of the team as he's usually on at the end of the game when were all going forward anyway or when were playing someone like Morton.

I think he's too direct, as soon as he gets the ball at his feet he wants to head for goal. It's probably the reason the fans like him so much but it won't be what Lennon's looking for tactics wise.

I don't think he'll play, but all that said, a bit of me wants him to.

That is the team and formation I would play too.
I would be over the moon with a win, but would settle for a draw.

    Very informative.

Serero did have a one on one with Forster and it was a tame shot but it was also excellent keeping and despite what a lot of folk said after the game regarding Serero I personally thought he was utter *, Kayal had him in his back pocket and I hope he plays again on Wednesday.

I meant it was embarrassing from an Ajax point of view. Serero missed two absolute sitters. Granted one was a decent save from Forster but he really should have scored the two of them. We need to create more chances if we are going to win in Amsterdam.

We can't rely on penalties and deflections.
