I was not impressed at all with them at Parkhead. Didn't see any of this total passing football either, their goalkeeper seen more of the ball than anyone else.

We are the keepers of our own destiny in this match, we are good enough to beat them and I just hope we don't come away thinking about a missed opportunity in a similar fashion to Milan.

Their defenders can be got at and they lack firepower. I'd go 4-5-1 and if Commons is fit I'd be extremely tempted to play Sammy up top himself.

Sammy has proven on many times that he can't play anywhere but the left.

I'd normally be the first guy to agree with you but Stokes is worse as a lone striker and Pukki isn't up to speed in a Celtic strip yet.

His best attribute will still be able to be used because we will be penned in for large periods. It's either that or play Commons off Stokes which may very well be what he goes for.

Exactly how I feel. We are capable of winning the game.

A positive post from SpellCheck :icon_mrgreen:

We are, I thought we were very average against Ajax at home, possibly the worst we've played in the two CL campaigns so far, albeit I thought we were quite * away to Benfica too.

I understand the feeling that a draw is a good result but I really think we should 100% be looking to win this game because it's definitely doable. If Barca win and we win the group is set up brilliantly.

As we said with Milan at the San Siro, the best chance we will ever have of beating ajax in Amsterdam will be on Wednesday night, they're definately low on confidence just now as well.

Wouldn't have stokes or pukki in team

Both not good enough at this level

    Atajic obviously :50:

Hate it when we play one lone striker upfront, if thats the case then commons, forrest and sammy are going to be key in supporting stokes i reckon.

Stokes - at this moment - is our no.1 striker.

The sooner people realise this the better.

Ajax, who host Celtic in the Champions League on Wednesday, are on a run of one win in five games after losing to Vitesse last night. (Various)

Yip. He drifts left anyway. Have Commons playing almost as a second striker, cutting in from the right.

I'd play Balde up front from the start. At least it gives us a bit of a target man and somebody to cross to. So annoying watching us * about around the edge of the box or cross to nobody because there is nobody in the box worth crossing too.

Stokes isn't a striker for me and Pukki hasn't really shown anything so far.

Biggest game of our season so far. I think we can do it, we'll be well up for it and the fans will be right behind us. I know it'll be a different game over there to at our place, but I didn't really see too much from them to worry me. If we win the midfield battle we can win the match. We need to put them under pressure and stop them passing the ball about at the back. Tough game, but one which I think we can win.

We really shouldn't be reading into Ajax's domestic form. We have only kept 2 clean sheets this year and almost got beat at home yesterday. Ajax dominated us at Celtic Park for large spells last week. We will have to improve if we are to get a result midweek.

The ball hardly left theire side of the pitch when they had the ball, mate. Wouldn't say they dominated the game.
