WILLIE McStay’s Under 19s fought through the elements today to emerge 3-2 winners from this away clash with youth league leaders, Motherwell.
First half goals from attacking midfielder, Michael Gardyne (pictured) and defender, Charlie Mulgrew saw Celtic race into the lead as the wind, rain and then hail hammered down around them.
Motherwell however were to show all of the spirit, work rate and desire that has launched them to the top of the table this season and fought level before Celtic striker, Diarmuid O’Carroll produced an outstanding finish for the 85th minute match winner.
