    What is it mate?

    I can't even remember mine now. Undergrad was about Nationalism and National Identity through media discourse surrounding the Scotland Football Team post-1997

    Postgrad it was similar but on England using the television coverage of the 2006 World Cup.

    My wife couldn't get Critical illness cover because of Huntingtons Chorea in the family even though she is well past the age that her mother and sister were diagnosed with it and shows no signs.
    Only one insurer was going to even try and give a policy but wanted £300 a month.
    * that.

    As harsh as this sounds that's what makes Critical illness cover 'affordable' for a great many people. Insurers can be 'fussy' and try to only select those who are a lower risk. Usually insurers will exclude existing/family history of critical illnesses, I can only imagine they haven't in your case because you tried to do the policy on your own ? While the internet is great for car and house insurance when it comes to the important insurances and investments a good IFA is worth his/her weight in gold.
    The case I quoted earlier was actually a claim that didn't cost the parents anything as 'childs CIC' was included on the policy that I advised them to take out, just over a year ago and cost £50.00 (ish) a month, but here we are and they will have tens of thousands of pounds paid into their account this week. These clients now think I am great and will refer me to everyone they know and the really really good news is the bairn seems to have made a 100% recovery as well, which is absolutely brilliant. While I have had a good couple of days personally, that news makes me the most pleased I have been for a long time tbh.

    Topic at the moment is...

    'A Critical Appraisal of the Environmental and Cultural Ramifications of both Sustaining and re-introducing Native and Endangered Animal Species within the Scottish Highlands'

    Literally just discussed that today though with a lecturer so still a bit rough.

    My degree is Environmental Management and Planning hence the 'outdoorsy' topic. Although a lot of people are doing stuff around waste, water, energy, urban planning etc. Not really what I find interesting. I'd rather talk about Wolves and wildcats:56:

    Nice one, that sounds well interesting. My mate actually did something very similar, I remember he worked at the deer centre with the wolves whilst studying and now has a cool job around those lines somewhere. :50:

    Really? Might give you a shout further down the line if I need any contacts:56:

    I needed to pick something interesting. No point sitting for a year researching something I cannot stand.

    This jerseys been missing on me for about 3/4 years and found it the other day underneath my tumble drier.. Wasn't even well hidden.

    Happy I've found it but worrying it took me this long to find it.

    Not sure f they still have them but Palacerigg Country park near Cumbernauld, years ago, had a couple of Timber Wolves.
    At least, they were there when i was resurfacing the roads in the park.
