Really enjoy having a couple of beers while reading articles and making notes for seminars. Relaxes me and helps me focus.

I'm the same man, working on my dissertation now and in this weather I'd love a beer to help get through it. * though cos my missus is due any day so I'm on a drink ban in case we need to drive to the hospital :54:

Realised the other day I'm basically gonna put my final essay in one box and then somebody is essentially gonna hand me back a baby out of another. Did not time this well :56:

Getting informed that the critical illness claim, for a child, that I had to record with an insurer has been accepted and that the funds will be paid later this week.

Well pleased, just sad there was a claim in the first place :54:

Hearing that one of my large coursework deadlines has been extended by a further 2 weeks.

    Ideal.

Ive done a bit of it already actually.

But this extension gives me more time to focus on my dissertation proposal for next year..While also allowing more time to drink.

    *.

My professional portfolio is due tomorrow at 7. Still need to do 11 full lesson plans and exactly 119 lesson reflections. Why I didn't just do them as I went on is beyond me, going to be a long night.

Insurers are * when it comes to those kind of claims.
Slightest thing and they will use it as an excuse not to pay out.

I think deep down I enjoy putting myself through extreme mental pressure/stress.

Kept saying to myself all year 'ah those reflections will only take 5 mins each, I'll be grand.'

Not so grand when I've to do 119 of them. :56:

I'm the same to be honest.

Like I was all set to be in Uni till the early morn tonight doing all this coursework then as soon as the deadline extension came through I went to the boozer :56:

I work better under pressure anyway * it.

Aye always prefer it cold although I didn't manage the whole tin such a waste :54:

No they are actually quiet good , if you google the stats on claims experience most reputable companies have approx. 90+ % pay out for Critical illness. Declines range from not meeting the policy definitions ,which is perfectly understandable, and client non disclosure again understandable as that is basically the client withholding a material fact that would have otherwise made the insurer decline to offer cover.
