Trivial Things That Annoy You Thread

Guy in my work is like this, not even limited to sickness, just constant tales of woe.
I've stopped saying "how ye doing" or "how's it going" by way of a rhetorical greeting in the morning cause it just invites a stream of sob stories, now I just say "morning" and put my head down.

 

Programme on the telly called 'Rosie Jones: Am I a R*tard?'. The use of asterisks in swear words has always seemed ridiculous to me but what do they think they're achieving by using it in the word '*'? *%@@!&$$!. Sorry, meant to say * stupid *...

 

Got hit by a motorbike on a pedestrian crossing mate, had the kneecap split into 3 pieces and all the muscles around it knocked about. What you’re having is what a brickie mate of mine had, think it was a couple of months if I remember rightly. Don’t think it was the greatest of times but he seemed ok. Think there’s a few on here work for the NHS, hopefully they can help you more than me mate

 

Because it’s incredibly insulting to someone with cerebral palsy. Rosie Jones has a first class degree and has had flack by using the word, maybe it’s her tongue in cheek way to get people to ask questions why she’s used it

 

I don't think you're getting me. To suggest that r*tard is acceptable use of language whereas * is baaaad just doesn't make sense.

Thinking you are eating a steak pie. Only to find its got kidneys in it. It ruins it. I dont get why people want kidneys in their steak pie.

Also was working down in Stewarton the other day, close to Kilmarnock. And I was at that Brownings the bakers for lunch and on the menu was "Onion Pie". Thats what it said ........"Onion Pie". I asked the lassie what that was all about...."Just Onions in a pie aye????" and she looked at me like I was daft and was like "well obviously it has meat in it". And you could tell other folk in the que were like "Aye obviously its got meat in it". Must be an Ayrshire thing. They are all * weird in Ayrshire afterall. Why no say Mince and Onion Pie then??? Obviously if it only says "Onions" then you'll think its just onions that are in it.

I dont eat pies all the time. But thats just 2 Pie related things that annoy me

 

Can't stand kidneys, however I do like the flavour that kidneys give to a steak and kidney pie, I just make sure I don't eat any off the kidneys.

Having to use annual leave for weddings.

 

One of them was on Sky recently and sat on the floor of the studio mid-interview,the interviewer and the other guest basically just ignored it and and carried on as normal and the idiot eventually got back up on the seat.Well worth a watch it was that Kay Burley’s show.

Absolute madness mate..

 

15 yr old lad got attacked on Union St in Glasgow earlier,3 on 1,proper stomping on his head…horrible to see but the reaction of a lot of people after it was really quite bad too.The general public and the wee wannabe gangsters on bikes.I don’t doubt they’re busy but the police response was pathetic,and the fact that after 20 mins about 8 of them come walking around at a snails pace (looking scruffy as *) just summed it up.After 30 mins still no ambulance but had to leave,boy seemed a bit better,hopefully only a concussion and that’s the matter over.
