Aye it’s brutal when you run out, if I don’t get any Tramadol I feel like killing everyone around me. They started giving me dihydrocodeine to try instead as they are trying to get everyone off the Tramadol.

I've cut my tramadol right down.....in fact not had any for about a week but I'm really feeling it now pain wise .....I only take the dihydrocodeine as a booster if I really need it , too many side effects like constipation and acid reflux with them.

Will need to get an appointment and see if they can give me something else.

    * my mum won't like that it's her painkiller of choice since her stroke, she prefers Tramadol to any of the other painkillers she's been on

Aye the side effects are terrible on some of them, I get really terrible nightmares and sometimes struggle to get a good nights sleep. I stay off them when having a few beers but feel like * when not taking them, I really need them in work or I genuinely couldn’t get through my 12 hour shifts.

As do I, they are a really good painkiller but they are terrible for your body apparently.

That's the only thing the constipation side effect can leave mum in pain for days Marie, och it's a catch twenty two thing unfortunately

Tell her to ask the doctor for Laxido, they are orange flavoured sachets you make into a drink to ease constipation.

Aye it not good, that's long shifts Gyp, especially when suffering with so much pain.

I'm pretty lucky that I normally only do 4hrs but I'm ready for my meds again by the time I've done 3hrs, all depends on how often I'm moving about from one counter to the next, past couple of weeks I've been having to plant myself on a till.....hate being on them but wouldn't cope otherwise.

Aye the things we do for money, by the end of my fourth day I’m totally gunned. The only good thing is the four days aff.
And if you need to do the easier job them so be it, though it probably means dealing with more pain in the * customers. :eek1:

Apparently cause memory loss, maybe early onset Alzhiemers? Could be wrong about that but definitely memory loss

Yeah they are quite good, also lactase.....it's sickly sweet though.
Yep, on medication to counteract the effects of others.... It's a wonder I don't rattle :56:

Cheers Gyp, yes she's already on them as well, but she still gets it from time to time it's a no win situation, it's not till you experience severe pain or someone in your family does that you understand how it affects so many people sadly
