    Unionists. Not the flag-waving, braindead fuckwits, the ones with a superiority complex who think that they're more outward-looking and tolerant than nationalists and who try to paint civic nationalism as a small-minded, insular and violent ideology (Unionism, in a word :smiley-laughing002:).     Oh and it really * grinds my gears when they try to imply that nationalism in Scotland is ethnic nationalism and that nationalists hate the English or have otherwise abandoned people no different to us in Manchester or wherever else. I guarantee that nationalists on the whole have a greater concern for and solidarity with the working classes in England, Wales and Ireland than Unionists do.

    I think there is an element of anti-English sentiment in some Scottish nationalists. As an Englishman I've experienced it a couple times from Scottish people.

    Similar to when extreme Feminists hate men, and try to justify hating all of them, even the ones that agree with Feminism. With the whole 'You can't empathise or support us because you don't know what it's like.'
