    "British accent", an English guy on BBC news just said the guy who done the beheading had a "British accent".

    Whats a British accent? a Welsh, a Dundee, a Scouse?

    It's like saying he had an Asian accent, a Central American accent etc * talk different languages in these areas.

    People who back Britain in just about everything.

    There are people out there who'll only back what's seen as the 'british way' of thinking. I blame the media for this, but there are some who just can't say that britain was wrong in certain aspects currently and in history.

    Whenever I bring this up, i'm seen as anti-british, when in reality I see things from the beginning in a neutral stand point and weigh up what's happening in a situation in my own mind.

    Aye, that annoys me too. Educated Americans use it a lot of English accents, as if it shows they know 'Britain' is the correct term for what most Yanks call 'England'.

    Linguistically it's just appalling.

    Also, the BBC have a style guide and should know better.
