Makoun is 29 and not getting a sniff at Villa, last time I checked he got sent out on loan so surely he would take a wage cut for another crack at European football? I just think we need a bit more experience in our current squad and as for Hosiner, he better not score tonight :56:

I wouldn't object to him coming in a coaching capacity. I certainly wouldn't want him taking up space on the bench.

Is he? Has he mentioned us on the radio or on twitter or something?

He's just like a Heskey in that their hold-up play is top drawer but he's * at finishing. I saw him a fair bit for Blackburn and he is beneficial to the team as long as he isn't played as a lone striker. Must be 35 or something now though.

Would love Shane Long. Not a chance though as we won`t part with that kinda money

If we are actually in the market for a left winger, I think we should go for James McLean. Could probably get him for relatively cheap as well

Would love us to sign him. He doesnt seem to be in favour at Sunderland either so we could maybe make it happen

Aye, I think we could maybe get him for around 1.5m - 2m. Just because he listens to rebel music, I don`t think they like him in Sunderland :56:

You're dreaming if you think he he's that cheap. Unless MON wants to cut us a deal id say he's anywhere from £5 million up

Dunno. There`s a good chance Sunderland might just want rid of him quickly and might be willing to do business for that price. Can`t see his price being as high as 5m with the kind of season he has had

Not sure as cheap as that, they'd be mad to sell him at that price. Maybe £3/4m might be a bit more realistic

McLean would go for at least ten million.

It's a bit maddening to think you'll get a regular, who's 22ish for a Premier League side for the prices suggested above.

Is he a regular? I have the impression he has been nowhere near the team this year. I haven`t watched a whole of the EPL or Sunderland though. Didn`t he get booed by his own fans?

I dont think he is, think their fans have seen him as a one season wonder and were getting on his back recently when hes been being subbed on.

Hes mentioned it a few times...Most recently on MOTD 3.

He and Pat Nevin were doing a quiz and each were asked to guess who the other supported as a kid...I think Pat guessed Arsenal or something like that, cant remember, but It turned out to be Celtic, same as Pat Nevin

One player I want us to sign more than anyone is Adam Szalai, we have no chance though. He would literally be perfect.

he was getting booed because of his well publicised love for irish rebel music, broad black brimmer was listed as his favourite song, of course the English media got wind of it and it made headlines. Add to the fact he refused to wear the poppy and ya get the idea of how disliked he is down there:56:
