Beckham would be a PR stunt, for a player who is nearly 40.

Rooney would obviously be excellent, but there is no way a player of that quality would leave Manchester United to come to Scotland. I'm assuming it wasn't a serious post.

Although I've never seen him live, Carlos Bacca has a very good goalscoring record and is having a good season in Belgium, which is a similar standard to Scotland (perhaps better).

It would be a PR stunt, I agree, but worth it for the commercial revenues, TV audiences, global exposure, etc.

Wonder if Rooney will come to us before he retires. Hopefully quite early hes 27 the now. Get him signed up when hes 31 for 2/3 years he'll only need to pay us £10k a week for the privelage of playing for his boyhood heroes.

Beckham probably would actually come to us as well. He'll see it as a good oppertunity to add another couple of Trophies to his collection and he'll get all the attention he needs from Sky back playing live on UK TV 20+ times a season.

    This.

A striker who is better than Hooper and Stokes and a winger. Oh, and a left back.

If Newcastle can sign ba and cisse for penny's why can't we find a big target man like them ? Especially when we are always in the African market

our stumbling block is our league...

if a youth african player for example.. coming from nothing gets the chance to come to celtic for say 2/3k a week.. but is being offered 10k + at a * preimiership club..

    money talks!!!

the spl does us no favors whats so ever.. especially since scumco have been put into the pub leagues...
