    Ciani is a possibility.

    Sakho - absolutely no chance!

No thanks. There's no point in adding a striker that isn't either a target man or better than the strikers we've got currently. Goodwillie is neither.

we dont need a target man, big sammy does that job anyway, dont care what anyone says because he does.

goodwillie is just as good as hooper and i see nothing wrong with having two hoopers.

stokes, hooper, goodwillie, sammy, bangura. looks like a very good strike force to me.

dimitar Berbatov would be quality, not getting a sniff at united. Probably way out of our range though, being linked with Malaga and Galatasary. Who can both now unfortunately offer him more than we can.

Sell Bangura and use Watt instead, and I'm with you on this one. I think we could do with a target man, but if we brought in another skilful player, I'd rather just use Samaras in that role occasionally.

Would have him tomorrow, but there's no way we'd be able to afford him now.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Simply saying "don't care what anyone says because he does" isn't factual, however mate. When deployed on the left, Sammy looked fine. However, when played through the middle he occasionally looks majestic, but often looks utter p*sh. Plus HE DOESN'T SCORE GOALS!

Goodwillie just as good as Hooper. Sorry, but no. He didn't get a game for a woeful Blackburn side, hence why they are cutting their losses as opposed to even giving him a shot against 2nd tier opposition. I firmly believe Gary Hooper is a starter in terms of quality for a few teams in the EPL, let alone Championship.
As such, I hold him in far higher regard than Badcock.

Unless you have an intricate knowledge of Swedish football, in addition, you must have seen something in Bangura last season that I didn't. Getting any form of return from him this season I would consider to be a huge bonus - I am hopeful....but that's because for the most part our scouting is competent, as opposed to me marvelling at his Pele-esque talents when he played last season.

I really think it'd be worthwhile for Celtic to look at strikers who play in smaller leagues but have some Champions League experience.

How about Marek Bakoš from Viktoria Plzeň?

    [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marek_Bakos[/ame]

3 goals in 7 CL appearances last season. He's 29, 6ft 0.5in, and a Slovakian international with 3 caps this year. Would probably be a cheap, realistic target, but also with good experience and European pedigree. Those kind of guys don't grow on trees.

Another probably affordable striker with Champions League experience is Rafik Djebbour from Olympiacos.

    [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rafik_Djebbour"]Rafik Djebbour - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

He's 28, 6ft 1, and is an Algerian international with 27 caps. He's two-footed and has scored 19 goals in 31 appearances for Olympiacos, with 2 in 6 CL appearances (against Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal). He also scored once (against Rubin Kazan) in 4 Europa League appearances last season. Before he moved to Olympiacos, he scored once in 4 EL appearances for AEK Athens.

He's only got a year left on his contract, and so should be available relatively cheaply. With the Greek economy in the state that it's in, I doubt Olympiacos would be looking for too big a fee.

@Celticbhoy111 I know - has to be one of the most racist football nicknames I've ever heard!

@LubosMagic I don't think so. I was just doing a bit of searching about and came across him. Would love us to take a punt at getting him though.
