Hearing from rumour sites that Macheda might be close to coming on loan. Apparently it's in Manchester news but I can't find anything (dunno if anyone else can?), just thought i'd pass it on anyway.

He is, but he wouldn't leave Leeds for the SPL, even i'd be disappointed if he did. If he was to leave Leeds it should be to go onward and upward not sideways.

Don't know if he's been mentioned before but Brek Shea who plays for FC Dallas in the MLS would be an excellent signing. I obviously live here and watch him week-in, week-out, he's a terrific player, still developing, tall lad (6'3" I think) with great foot skills and speed for his height. He's gotten better in the air this season. Can play on the left or as a striker through the middle. Just breaking in to the US national team. Great work-ethic and attitude, real team player.
One of our center-backs, George John, is being looked at by Blackburn right now. If he's premiership quality then Celtic need to sign up Shea immediately 'cos he's by far the teams best player.

How was his record when he was loaned out to an italian side i think? He does have something to prove and he is even further behind the pecking order now that wellbeck has secured the backup striker role, Rooney, berba, wellbeck and hernandez are the 4 main strikers at man u.

probably not, just took a look around my office (where I heard the rumour) and if there's a single informed person in here I'll eat this keyboard I'm typing on.

He isnt, both Doyle and Fletcher are miles ahead of him and mick likes to play 1 up front.
