John Sutton could be decent. He's a pain in the * for defenders.

    better than Murphy

Wouldn't have thought Stokes was until his quality season with Hibs- I mean, before that he was class, but after that, he was gash for a while- I know about that.

I think with the players around him he'd be a decent player, Sutton. I really do. No way of telling how he'd do for sure but I think he'd score goals. But Celtic won't buy him, so we don't need to involve ourselves in talking about him too much. They will go for proven players hopefully and though I think he'd score goals, I would look elsewhere first.

That Chris Humphrey of Motherwell looks a good player. Three goals
in three games now. He is direct and has blistering pace.

Pace is the only thing hes got to be honest no composure to cross so hes a pretty gash winger. Just another IVan Sproule i think.

If Cha leaves to go that middle eastern team i think a good replacement for him would be Stephen Carr :50: Very reliable fullback in my opinion

Wouldn't mind another striker to be honest. We only really have Stokes, Hooper and Sammy. Murphy is not good enough (nor is he really a "striker").

I think Lennon will likely bring in at least one more striker in the summer but the priority is goalkeeper and still defense. I am aware that Mulgrew has grown a lot in the CB role since Jan. But I still would like to see a more reliable and experienced centre-back in the side especially for Europe. I hate to imagine playing against the likes of Barca or Real with Mulgrew in central defense. He's done well, I applaud him for that, but he's still an accident waiting to happen imo. Also at 34, Majstorovic ain't getting any younger and I ain't sure how he will fair next season. I know ppl will argue about Davie Weir, but imo he should have retired 3-4 years ago when his legs went. We do not need to follow that route as we are not skint like the huns.

Kevin Wilson is coming in, so we will have him along with Maj, Mulgrew, Rogne and Loovens as CB options next season, although I reckon (and hope) Loovens will be sold. So a solid centre back like Richard Dunne would be a great signing and an important one too.

So I want one goalkeeper (Westwood), centre back, and one striker. In that order!!

in the summer lets go and spend 2 or 3m on a ch and likewise striker and get rid of the dead wood.

Haha yeah, I know he has faults. But having watched Motherwell at the weekend it was all going through him. I may have just been really impressed by how fast he is cause it's unbelievable. But still he is young and has been improving over the season. Oh and the balls he was putting into the box looked good to me, at least against Aberdeen.

im sorry but has everyone gone mad on here!? im reading some crazy things... john sutton and chris humphrey!? no just no! they are nowhere near celtic class! and DC93 leon best is not out of our league!!!! hes dreadful! next thing ill read on here is loovens for captain the way some people are talking on here!
anyway enough ranting... in the summer we need a goalkeeper, a centreback, cover for izzy and a striker!
surely we'll sign westwood seem as he'll be able to sign for free! he's a decent keeper and still young so hes worth a punt.
richard dunne for the centre back role would be an incredible coup if we could pull it off! he'ld be incredible in the spl and think with him we'd generally have a chance in europe!
for competition for izzy i think we should try and sign swedish international oscar wendt of copenhagen. would probably cost us 3-4million, which we could afford although i cant imagine the board sanctioning that much money on a left back when we've already got quality like izzy. however hoivelds currently on loan there so if we put him in as a part of the deal, we could probably bring the price down a bit. despite being a left back wendt can also play in the left of midfield and is an adventurous fullback like izzy. being a swedish international, i think if we made henrik larsson and freddie lljunberg have a little chat with him, as well as getting johann mjallby involved in the transfer then we could maybe be able to tempt him away from liverpool who are supposedly checking him out.
I would love us to sign alexander gerndt from larssons old side helingsborgs, would cost about 2.5-3.5million. He was top scorer in the swedish league last season and is known for his pace, hardworking attitude and deadly freekicks. He's a swedish international and is very versatile as he can play outwide on the left, play off the striker or be used as a target man. Think he would bang in the goals in the SPL. Think if we got the swedish bhoys i mentioned earlier to put a good word in then hopefully he'd be tempted to parkhead like wendt instead of some of the other sides interested in him. Think a couple of dutch and la liga clubs are eyeing him up.
Also, just to add, if we could offload maloney, then id love snodgrass but think he'd be a bit pricey, especially if leeds get promoted. Otherwise we could go for the cheaper option of Tisza Tibor.
What do all you bhoys and girls think?

We should be looking at a higher level of player than Motherwell to move forward in my opinion.

Dont get me wrong they're can be the odd player who can make the step up.

    Most cant.

Kayal and Izzy emphasise the steals that we can get if the proper scouting is done.

to be fair like it was one of my weaker suggestions :icon_mrgreen:
but i meant the team he's playing, Newcastle, is a big team and you dunno what wages the man is on. And i know he's not brilliant but he's better back up for Hooper and Stoksey than Samaras and Murphy
and he has scored more goals in the Premiership this season than Dembele

Good point. It's quite hard for Dembele to score in the premiership though, considering he doesn't play there.
