    Sounds like bolloks, fenerbache and one of the shanghai teams as well.

    He has just had a couple decent seasons at Rennes though, he could do a job but will Lilley be stupid money

    They signed Niang for 15m Euros, looks like he's fallen out of favour a bit but they'd want to recoup most of that you'd imagine

    I think he could fit well into the way Ange wants to play, seems to be scoring quite frequently this season. There left back Bjorkan is decent too.

    * roaster.

    Some come from privileged backgrounds and some don’t. Welcome to how life works, every sport on the planet is the same.

    But aye, revert the Olympics to normal people with normal jobs, John from Basingstoke struggling to get over the hurdles never mind run the track.

    * idiot.

    Sorry big man won’t happen again ………….

    Your also aware of the sheer amounts these elite athletes are funded with?

    You need to go educate yourself on the evolution of the olympics ya * ding, up until 25 years ago it was only * athletes, if it wasn’t for TV it would still be the same, but when one athlete gets paid to train the bars raised then the government funds the * out of the sports involved.

    Don’t know, don’t really care who the * your are but please just hit the ignore button lad, your a total moon rocket, * gives you the right to come out and attack other forum members, coz your a gold member ……. Whoop de * do.

    THEY ARE FUNDED BECAUSE THEY WORKED HARD FOR IT, ARE YOU DUMB?

    Do you think Olympic gold medalists are chosen out the womb?

    Nobody gives a * about the history of the Olympics. If you work hard you get funding and you get to go full time. It’s the same for everyone in every walk of life and there are gold medal athletes from all walks of life.

    Dim. As. *.

    It’s also got * all to do with being a gold member, I never attacked you I called out your utter horse *.

    That cream did not rise to the top against Egypt mate - nil all result. Australia top of the group with 2 games to go. The Spain game will be interesting.

    Yes, Atkinson is very good down the right flank, defends well, overlaps, good ball control, calm, good crosser of the ball - and young, and available. These guys are on the world stage and will be snapped up if Celtic do not get in first.

    We need a goalkeeper. Barkas has had his chance to establish himself and has fallen short.
    We need an Angeball keeper and fast. Celtic should get Lawrence Thomas from his Danish club ASAP. Offer Barkas as an exchange, either transfer or loan. Barkas will do well in Denmark. The media and fans will get off his back there and he will get his skills back in a less 'pressure-cooker' atmosphere. His stress will be less.

    Lawrence Thomas would be a good choice. Has played many games with Melbourne Victory and against top overseas teams also and in national finals. Very brave, experienced and agile keeper, tall, commanding in the box and very agile. He will not cost a fortune and can fly to Glasgow in an hour. A good distance for negotiations to take place. Has also played under Ange at Victory as I recall. Also a member of the current Australian World Cup squad under Arnold.

    Could be got for under 2 million. Wiuld be an astute buy in my opinion. Check him out.

    I know. But the Olympics ain’t the cream of the U23’s mate. It should be. But it’s not. France and Argentina are both missing huge talents and that’s just 2 examples I’ve noticed.

    Australia could win it and I’d probably care for about 3 seconds.

    In relation to the thread, it’s still a competition we should be scouting.

    You could argue that it's increasingly the case for all sports these days. Accessibility to sport for young people is a growing problem. I wouldn't say it's only for the privileged but it's certainly becoming a luxury more & more for the middle classes. I'm £70p/m for my boys football fees and that's before you consider shuttling them to and from games and training and all the kit they require. There will be a lot of families out there who just can't afford that outlay each month especially if they've got a few kids.

    The government actually needs to start funding more clubs and local authorities really need to be giving free access to facilities for sports teams. The cost of the lets they charge is obscene and then you've got 10metre high fences around all these new astro parks in schools to stop kids getting a free shot at them despite every patch of land getting new buildings thrown up on them.

    Canny believe somecunt is actually complaining in a transfer thread that the Olympic Games has professional athletes and no just random * running around.

    That’s a UK problem. Not a sport or Olympics problem. We’ve made it hard.
