Absolutely disgusting that there isn't a right back in now..

We watched Ralston again yesterday, hopelessly out of his depth and yet still, no * is in..

It's that problematic for us that we should be paying half a mill or a mill over whatever the player's worth, just so we can secure him quickly. It's that big a hole to fill..

It beggars belief that no one has been snapped up on a free or loan or anything all summer. Now we're left with Ralston for a European qualifier..

 

My fear regarding Origi is if it was between us and the huns, he'd pick the huns.

I'd honestly be 100% more confident in starting O'connor there at right back instead of ralston he done much more in the little time he was on yesterday for me. But yes we 100 % need at least another 2 in for the right back position to be more comfortable i believe

You said 3-5 million, remember ? Not 5-8 million. Also I think Taiwo Awoniyi might be one to consider. Liverpool have loaned him out to Union Berlin FC at present. Has scored 5 goals in 21 appearances to date. Six foot, aged 23, centre forward.

Keep in mind we are posting opinions/thoughts on players who we are considering as being good for Celtic this season. Or not good, based on constructive reasoning. That's fine by me. We are not making decisions to be set in stone. What I am concerned with at present is that the team gets a good spine to base the squad around. Many have mentioned that there will be teams who will park the bus defensively and it will be difficult to score against them and a strong centre forward will be needed to lead from the front and get to the crosses with his head.

What gets me is that many complaints are presented but no names of likely player candidates are mentioned. As soon as you say something in that regard there is an automatic negative response.

I don’t know anything about Taiwo Awoniyi other than football manager so not going to comment on him.

If you think Origi is a likely player candidate, we’ll in my opinion, you’re wrong and if you think I’ve been “negative” towards that suggestion, we’ll it’s because I am. He’s not good value for money and is definitely an unrealistic target anyway.

There’s nothing wrong with posting suggestions or taking about rumours and debating it, but you will get negative responses if they seem unrealistic.

Also, I would rather we split this into player suggestions and rumours like it used to be, hate seeing all the suggestions clog up the rumours.
