Apparently played 32 times in Serie A for Torino last year. Not that it’s impossible but would struggle to see us spending big on midfielders when it’s where we are strongest.

 

I don't think we're particularly strong in any areas. I agree that central and attacking mid is not a priority but if he's good enough, I couldn't give a *. We need people and ones that will walk into our starting xi pronto.

 

I read somewhere he’s a more defensive minded midfielder which is probably the one area we definitely need strengthened in midfield.

I haven’t read anywhere that they are struggling financially but the reports about Vuskovic are we blew them out the water in terms of his salary. His contract runs until 2024 so it seems a strange one

watched the video and he doesn’t seem defensive minded at all. Looks a very classy and silky ball player. Definitely impressive in the video

If Vuksovic thing is true it’s reported we are giving him 12k a week, a side in Serie A can’t afford that?

We definitely need a CDM this summer, has to be priority imo.

Now, if Lennon and Kennedy were actual football managers, they would have realised Brown was completely done, and had Soro continue to develop as first choice, that way all we'd need is backup for him, but since he's hardly played since he was dropped, we'll need a first choice CDM in.

 

Might be a bit of a long shot, but the Czech keeper, Vaclik, is just about to tie up his 2nd clean sheet in 4 games at the Euros, and is out of contract at the end of the month. 32 years old, but that’s still in the prime age range for a keeper.

Surely this is the kind of guy we’ve at least scouted?

 

28 is the perfect age to be getting in a centre half! Granted there is very little sell on value, but he’s a very competent player of decent pedigree. He’s definitely worth a shot.

I think most clubs should have a healthy mixture of youth and experience. I would 100% take Kalas. Think he would cost a bit of cash though. If you take the CB situation we have. Julien and Kalas would be the experience and Welsh and Vuskovic would be the youngsters with the potential to sell on for big money. The thing about us is we have always had the players in the squad who could leave for good money. From Van Dijk/Forster/Wanyama era to now in Eddy/Ajer/Tierney/Dembele. We need to make sure we continue that while adding invaluable experience to the team. That's as important.
