    Callum Davidson :56:

Reminds me of the * on here who used to rave about Eoin Doyle and Stevie May desperate for us to sign them. Levels folks... levels.

My green & white specs can see far clearer than yours, I don't * on managers just because of the size of club they're attached to, if they're showing huge managerial potential that's all I'm interested in

You being down there surrounded by all that English arrogance has obviously made you buy into their EPL hype best league in the world whilst Scottish football is pub league stuff is that right?

I quite like the manager at Torquay. Flying in the Vanarama bud. Think he'd be a better fit than Davidson as he's on the brink down here as he's done it at many levels..

I've been down here 2 month's now, what's the problem with acknowledging how good the English product is and everything that comes with it?

100%, I thought Ajeti was the better choice. Got that spectacularly wrong.

    But there's absolutely no guarantee
Toney would have been a success for us though. Imagine we sold Eddie and replaced him with Toney and him not getting off to a a good start

I think he would have been successful but you are right. Pukki is only a few goals behind him in that league.

Toney has turned a £10m investment into possibly £30m. He’s up there with McGinn. McGinn would of been away to the Prem already.

In paper fabricated transfer values Mcginn was worth £50m after a season in the Championship, so we lost out on £45m with him. Things that could've been...

He was superb for Lennon at Hibs, and we have no idea if he would be here for years to come or immediately want to move. We’d just like to think that to take a bit of the sting off of our incompentence.

When Aberdeen's recruitment team are better organised than yours, you know you're in trouble.

He wouldn’t of been worth £50m here.

Taking Lubo’s advice about looking in places like Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia and Serbia amongst others is not bad advice. If you properly scout those markets there are a lot of good options who would be within our price range.

Teams like NK Osijek have a few players worth a look such as their keeper Ivusic has the most clean sheets in the Croatian league this year, their full backs Igor Silva at RB is a dynamic attacking full back and Mario Jurcevic at left back is a Slovenian international left back who is a solid defender and capable in the final third with good delivery (not dissimilar to Barasic). Mihael Zaper is a good young Box to box centre midfielder and the striker they have own loan from Alaves Mierez looks a good player. Obviously you wouldn’t sign all them but that’s one team with a good few players.

In Serbia- Milan Makaric has been banging the goals in this season for a lesser team in the league. Takuno Asano formerly of Arsenal and Partisan was having a good season playing on either wing and scoring 18 goals and is now a free agent as he terminated his contract over unpaid wages. There’s also a few good defenders in the league Sananican and Mladen Devetak to name a couple.

Czech Republic - there’s Srdjan Plavsic is a tricky winger going on a bosman, scored vs us this year not that says much. Chalus looks a handy CB, as does Stronati. For CM, Lukas Sadilek is leading the league in assist playing for minnows Slovacko.

Matt Ryan could be an option if looking for a keeper. On loan at Arsenal from Brighton, doesn't look like he will be getting game time for Brighton when he returns. Was decent a couple of years ago for them
