His career was hitting the skids on both occasions that Lennon took a chance on him (albeit the 2nd time he was making a fortune out of being Southampton's 3rd choice)

The fact we pushed the button early shows that Lennon had him as his #1 priority and the snub had came out of the blue.

For all his heroics for us that behaviour puts him down a good bit in my eyes.

He's obviously said all the right things to Lennon last season about the possibility of coming back and it's left us unprepared for scouting alternatives.

Hopefully we can get something done this week, we need any incomings to be bedded in before the league starts and we go into these 1 legged CL qualifiers.

Maybe a tad hyperbolic but his exploits were in League One and I recall Pardew being pretty unimpressed about giving him a chance at Newcastle.

We took him from Newcastle 3rd choice and surplus to requirements to a big stage in the Champions League and an international call-up.

Forster was nowhere near the keeper he is today when he first came in. He was nervous, hesitant at cross balls, poor kicking.

 

Aye I mean there is no doubt we've done alot for his career. Stevie Woods and Lennon are probably the most important people of his whole career, I just remember him being quite rated.

Definitely sounds like he's done us here. Must have an eye on next years Euros

Problem is Forster was a young guy that had the ability but needed coaching from Woods to piece it all together.

Hart is in the twilight of his career, confidence dented after being publicly dumped by Pep and then poor loan stints at Torino and West Ham, then dropped at Burnley before the season is out.

For the money he would command I think there are far better options out there. If Lennon settles on him though, he'll have my full backing.

Hopefully the Serbian boy from Reims. Best keeper in the league last year. Only conceded 18 goals all season. Reckon all the big teams will want him and will probably cost over £10 million.


Could be that Polish youngster at Monaco, Radoslaw Majecki. Im sure our name has been linked to him but itl just be a loan deal cause Monaco only signed him in Jan for €8 million

 

The guy at Monaco conceded a lot of goals this season at Legia Warsaw almost 1 a game.
