Richard Dunne has been stripped of captaincy, had a massive fall out with Houllier at Villa... would be worth trying to take him on loan in Jan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer. Maybe being a bit ambitious, but he would be excellent up here. Another one would be Fitz Hall, hes 6'4 and pretty quick.

I don't think we should even look at an attacker, goals haven't been our problem this season. Albeit if we lose Sammy I agree we can't suffice with three strikers. Is Rasmussen due back next season?

I think our main problem is how recent our squad is. It seems as though 3/4 of our squad have only just signed so good luck getting rid of a few.

If say Wilson and Suler come we will have Maj, Rog, Glenda, Jos, Wilson and Suler with Josh Thompson coming back next year.. 6/7 CBs is far too many. It is a similar story in midfield, how are we funding the wages of all these players? I hope no lasting damage is being done.

Well, we are averaging just short of 1.5 goals a game away from home in the league. I don't think that is monstrous.

I would love to get Oussama Assaidi from Heerenveen. Striker and playmaker. excellent technique, knows where the goal is and also vision and passing skills.

Goals are clearly a problem. The amount of chances that we create but actually put in the net is not great.

naw we need to defend. Our problem is the fact that we don't seem to keep clean sheets and win games by say 1 goal to nil. We need to start grinding out results.

SuperNick is right if we are 1-0 up or 2-1 up in a game we need to be able to see the game out and grind out the result, the Defence needs to be addressed and if a striker becomes available then by all means sign him up but defence is No.1 priority.

What about Benjani at Blackburn? Not to bad a striker. Blackburn will prob go for better strikers due to the new owners and might look to offload him. He has been to a few English clubs and keeps getting bandied around.

No way to Benjani. Richard Dunne needs to be asked the question but it's a helluva long shot.

Would be good to get Dunne but doubt he would come up the road. Too expensive and he would want a massive wage.

Just to throw some names up all from the EPL that i think could well make a difference up here. All of them would be available for transfer and at a reasonable price.
