What is this, Football Manager? We'll get near nothing for Hutchinson and we won't have a £20 + million budget. But those players, I agree are expendable.

How stupid of us to suggest that we should punt our dead wood, when it means that your FM career would suffer. :icon_mrgreen:

Naw mate, if this was Football Manager i would be the owner of Manchester city buying all those players for at least £15million each, and then quitting:icon_mrgreen:

Just my opinions about the kind of price Celtic would be attaching to them:50:

Can i ask who you have in mind that is going to pay 1 million + for loovens and samaras ?! 3 - 4 for Brown ! are you taking the *, we'll get 1 million max from selling samaras and loovens together, 2 million for brown and maybe 1.5 for rasmussen and crosas, the rest are realistic

If we didn't waste money on Murphy, Juarez and Stokes, we would have stood a better chance of signing Keano.

Off-load the dead wood and use the money to get real qaulity defenders, Keane is a luxury we can live without.

How exactly is the signings of Juarez and Stokes a waste of money?

Stokes - £1.2m for a proven SPL goalscorer

Juarez £2m for a Mexican internation with good potential at the club

We paid £1million for Murphy. A bit of an over-inflated fee for a squad player if you ask me though:97:

Think he was struggling to get into the Sunderland first-team after a successful stint in the Championship?

Anyway, i'm sure he will have his uses:rolleyes:

Too expensive. Wouldn't pay over the top for a 30 year old striker.

keane would be an excellent buy, but unfortunately he would be a short term fix, and we need to look long term, we would have no re sell value, and would be carrying him in to retirement on the same wage

I agree mate there would be no re-sell value, but i think in terms of quality and the experience he could share with the younger squad players....even having him for 3-4 years until he retires, he would be able to walk this league until the day he hangs up his boots!

He's sitting on the bench at the moment behind Murphy and Juarez has been really poor. Nobody knows where the guy can play.

Do you really think Keane would take a massive pay cut to join his beloved Celtic ? No way .
