    Snodgrass is now up for a free transfer, madness? 10m deal last year but they want rid.
    He wouldn't fit in with us having Hays and hoping for Roberts.

    Thinks it's a shame as he's a good player and i'd love to see him in the hoops, but not in this team. He doesn't fit. We're completely set for midfielders, and too slow to play out wide.

    He has very little technical ability. Not the type we need.

    Without sounding snobby, these type of guys are below what we should be targetting now. Especially heading into another CL season. Hopefully.

    He might not have much technical ability, but he is decent at set pieces, and you can bet yer mortgage on it that he'd run through brick walls for the jersey.

    He's one of our own, he's a local boy, he's a good *, he'd be brilliant up here.

    Mentioned him a few weeks back and watched him for Dynamo Kyiv last night. Honestly think this guy is the answer at CB. Been linked with a 2m euros move to Besiktas but after Wednesday I think we'd stand a chance. Only reason the price is so cheap is because his contract is up in December, last season Dynamo wanted 10m+ when he was linked to Everton, West Ham, Leicester etc.

    Basically perfect for Rodgers system as well. Used to be a DM in his younger days so he's good on the ball, he's got good pace and he attacks the ball like Jozo, who he's keeping out the national side. Has played a fair bit at LB as well so that would be ideal too.

    Plus he's used to long runs in Europe. :34: Only 28 so we'd be getting him in his prime.

    Him and Roberts would complete our squad.

    Remember when Brendan said he wanted to wait until the end of August if we qualified for the CL, to see what quality was unwanted by some of the top clubs in the EPL and could become available and attracted to us as we'd be a more attractive option with CL football? Well now that we've qualified there is a certain Diego Costa cast to the side at Chelsea biding his time for a move to Atletico Madrid in January when their transfer ban is lifted.

    Surely Brendan can ask the question for a 6 month loan? He used to work at Chelsea for a long spell of his career so has contacts there and has a lot of respect from Chelsea. We could tell Costa we'll keep him ticking over until his move in January and give him CL football as well in an atmosphere unmatched by any other. I doubt he'll be loaned out to another EPL rival, although he is being linked with Everton atm. By all accounts Conte wants rid of him asap.

    He is of course on £185K a week, so at most we could pay £30-35K a week of that, which means Chelsea are having to cover the other £150K :56:

    I realize how utterly absurd and laughable this suggestion is, but it could be worth a try as you never know. The worst that could happen is we would be laughed at and moved on our way.

    I await the dogs abuse for this post, but a bhoy can dream.
