If Wigan go down, which they probably will, they have a few players worth looking at. Rodallega is class, N'Zogbia is a long shot, but there's a chance, and McCarthy might come. I suppose it all hinges on whether we qualify for the CL.

 

All out of our budget not a chance of any players above , come on be realistic.

 

I knew as soon as I scrolled down and saw the clown image that I'd be shot down. Look, if we qualify for the CL I could see those players coming to Celtic rather than rotting in the championship, which is a possibility.

 

Even if they go down they will be 10 or so clubs in the prem with more chances of them going there , then your talking about clubs all over Europe , Nzog your talking 10/15 million , Hugo rod 10mill or so , mc Carthy 5/7 million maybe more , then there massive wages not a chance mate , not having a dig at all but try and be realistic ,

 

McCarthy would be a possibilty i'd say, N'Zog & Rodallega not a chance. Don't forget who else plays for Wigan........HEID!

 

You really think so mate , He signed a new long term contract and and he has been very good down there . There are still many big clubs tracking the boy , i just do not think we could come up with the fee for him i really think he would go for at least 5million .

Would love James here and i am sure he would love to sign but i just think the fee would rule us out as it does with most players in football today , Realistically i do not think there is many players within the prem we could sign now due to the type of fee's running around down there its a market we get priced right out of .

Steven Fletcher perfect example of a team going down and still getting top dollar for a player.

 

I know we fuelled our spendings with the McGeady money this summer, but if we spend anything like what we did there we could shell out 5 mill for McCarthy. Rodallega would no way be worth 10 mill - 6 mill at a push. Same for N'Zogbia, maybe 8 or 9 mill for him. We could probably get one of the three.

 

Reckon there'd be a chance aye, albeit small. He'd be as well playing for us as Wolves, Bolton etc or warming the bench a big club. Could envisage the board pushing the boat for him, especially if Brown was sold, as the fans would love it & perhaps overlook their other (real or perceived) failings similar to Keano last year
