    Ryad Boudebouz

    27 year old Algerian international, French born, attacking midlefielder, naturally fits the #10 role behind the striker, able to play on the wings too. Currently playing with Montpellier in Ligue 1 in France who finished 15th in the 16/17 season. Has a great eye for a pass and an outstanding first touch. Great set piece taker too. Would be the type of player Brendan is looking for offering outstanding creativity in the final third of the pitch.

    He's some age now, but Gorka Iraizoz has just left Atheltic Bilbao. Was their number 1 for 10 years. Would be much better back-up than De Vries or Bailly (if we still even have him). Might get a good season or two out of him.

    This is probably the most exciting transfer window and pre season for me in my living memory, it's gonna provide a real indication of just how serious the club are about progressing towards the last 16 of the CL and it'll be so satisfying to see Rodgers longer term vision coming together both on and off the park. The Huns will cling on to any bit of false hope they can to convince themselves they have a chance next season, we all know they don't. Let them have their moment, because that's all they've had for the past 6 or so years and it's all they'll be getting for the foreseeable future.

    I wouldn't be surprised if we get our players in early doors this summer.

    It's not like last season when Rodgers needed time to assess the squad. He'll know exactly what he needs, and I think he'll be backed as well as is possible so there won't be any of this moving on third and fourth choice targets over time.

    Everything I've seen seems to suggest Alves will be their first signing and he's their top target. Some signing for them at this level.

    Dorrans is pish and will want big money. Hopefully they get him as well.
