Nicholson reminds me of Driver and Templeton from them. So inconsistent and injury prone.

I think we would be mad not to pick him up, if cheap enough. At his age, he carrys a whole team. On their forums, I regularly see "if walker plays good, we play good. If he plays *, we play *."

    Regularly been their best player.

He may not be Celtic class at the moment but with Rodgers and our backroom staff, I reckon he could be.

We should be looking at players to come in and go beyond what we have, not sign them and hope they reach the standard of our squad. I know what you're saying, and I like seeing more Scottish players in our squad nowadays, but I'm just not sure Walker is quite good enough.

There's noone in Scotland I'd be even remotely interested in right now.

    McGinn comes closest.

I just think that he has shown enough that he's far better than Hearts. Whether he's good enough for Celtic or not... I'm sure Brendan will be the one to judge and he'll no doubt be scouting if he's seen anything to suggest he is.

He does look good but so did Scott Alan. I do think that we'll be looking at him too. Just begs the question: why have we not picked either up (him or Walker)?

Walker has never really stood out to me tbh. Having a good season no doubt.

That's what I'm saying, noone would improve us. McGinn would be a squad player at best too.

I've rated him for at least 2 years tbh. I've got family with season tickets at hearts too..
I wanted to see if he could make the step up, especially because he's still relatively young.

JMcG is one who I've liked too tbh.

I think that if they're as good as I think, we'll be watching. However, we missed McCarthy, McCarthur, Robertson and even Gould.

We could even include Snodgrass and Fletcher to that list.

We'll see. Just hope we're looking into them and not going to let England snap them up, if they're actually good.

Anyone know how much Alassane Pléa from Nice would cost? 23 with a wealth of experience in France. Goalscorer as well.

I'm guessing way out of our range.

He's rated as £10m on Transfermarkt who notoriously underrate player values so..

The standard of that team has gone up from what it was a few years ago, challenging in the top of Ligue 1 now. Don't know much about the player but just going off what they are trying to do, I can't imagine he'd be cheap.

France is a market we should try and exploit just now, the press Dembele is getting here will turn other players heads.

I see Mohamed Elyounoussi scored a hat-trick today. 6 goals and 5 assists in 16 league games this season. I'd still love to see us sign him.

@Mr Monaghan - I know you are still craving him...

    Don't even go there.

Suggested him a year before he tore us a new one.

He'd run riot in this current side.

Seemingly he started on the right today as well. Paddy's replacement.

    Make it happen Brendan.

You get the feeling France is just about to explode with quality again, they were in the doldrums for a good while there but there's more and more quality French players kicking about just now.

    Probably talking £8-10m now.

Would have been some parting gift from Ronny if he'd gotten us him and Ajer.

Imagine Sviatchenko, Ajer, and Elyounoussi all in one window?

Speaking of young French guys, Olivier Boscagli's highly rated at Nice. Although I thought he was a CB who can play anywhere along the backline, transfermarkt has him as a LB by trade. Mobile, decently quick, good with the ball. Haven't seen him much tbf but by all accounts he has a bright future.

4 caps at the U20 level for France, wouldn't cost a ton right now either. Surprised he hasn't played much at Nice this year tbh.
