He gets some stuff wrong, must things are in the ball park though.
Most people get pissy though when our own fans start to call him names like the huns do. Dont need to believe what he says, sure he will admit he has been misled or got stuff wrong. But nae need for the name calling from some of our lot/total lack of respect to get his name right (or simply don't try and be smart with it).

I believe we will back rodgers. I also believe rodgers is fully aware of our financial situation and isnt going to be fantasysing about these sort of deals across the board.

But they are all realistic. And at that sort of price (anything above our record fee) I'm not too sure we would push the boat out that far.

We would be a good fit for him, and we can sell ourselves very well to him. He will know us well from being at barcelona (though not played against, he will be aware), he will also know what his own level is and at a relative age (younger than I first thought) he will be sensible to know what he wants from football. Just like sinclair.
He will know he isnt good enough for Barcelona nor that he will be winning any trophies at epl dross clubs. And that European football is out the question.
He knows your Juventus, bayern, psg, of the worlds also wont come in for him. His best bet is a chance luck at medals with a Dortmund/napoli sort of team. Or come to someone like us, medals, European football, first team football where the pressure is less and he can freely enjoy his game, and above all, adulation from the fans.

But, its the asking price that will stumble us.


I'm always taken back to the Martin oneil days in how he brought players to the club - players who knew they werent going to the very top, but offered them all of the above stuff. And they took it with both hands and everyone of them got what he promised and more.
