Maybe Lassad.. But I remember when Brozek was signed I was under the impression he'd be coming in to make an instant impact. Badr was signed to play at left full while Izzy recovered from his broken leg.

I tbink you should very rarely sign a player to specifically be a back up unless it's a keeper.

 

Brozek was signed to wind the Huns up. We should have let them take him, terrible footballer.

 

I thought Paterson was supposed to be quite quick for a big man?

Haven't seen much of him at all, but he's a good threat in the air. If Lustig was to be ousted by a new RB, we'd lose one of our biggest set-play threats, so that would be one good thing about having Paterson.

You'd think he would be decent technically, being a former striker, but I've really no idea.

He's not, for me he's like Broadfoot can head a ball far, kick a ball far and throw a ball far but average at best other than that.

I think he's brutal tbh, Rugby player in footballers clothing. Against us all he does is boot, pull, push and barge whatever guy he's playing against often Rugby tackling them to the ground and somehow getting away with it.

Paterson is hardly a world beater but I've seen him score overhead kicks, volleys from outside the box and chipping goalkeepers. Whether he is good enough for Celtic is a different matter but to say his talent is limited to kicking a ball far is pish.

People are talking about how he is good in the air like it's a bad thing. He actually reminds me of Lustig.

 

Sturridge seems to be out of favour....

I'd rather we signed 3 players and announce them just before the deadline to grab all the headlines and keep the wave of glory flowing. Be the biggest news on transfer day. Would be amazing again.

 

Got a feeling we'll get a big(ish) name striker in.

See I would like another striker but we are playing 1 up top quite a bit so we are already struggling to keep Dembele happy as it is

 

I wanted Rhodes before he went to Blackburn but I'm not so sure now (I'm not saying he's not done great in the Championship).
