    One thing I will say for Paterson is that he has good aggression in his game. I like getting players like that into the team, sometimes we have too many mild mannered players (Janko, GMS, Armstrong, McGregor etc).

    Not fussed either way if he signs but I can imagine him surprising people.

    I like my defenders to be about six feet or plus right across the back four.
    I have good reasons for that.

    You might personally but there is nothing wrong with a small full back. Tall full backs are generally rarer.

    Guy on the Celtic Underground podcast says he's been told four rumours - James McCarthy, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Xavi and Michael Carrick.

    I know he's 36 but Xavi! It's probably not even close to being true but I would LOVE to see that guy in a Celtic strip. One of my favourite players of the past decade. Total class. :35:
