I know he's been long time at Shakhtar, but how about Taras Stepanenko? He ain't seeing CL there this year. Maybe we could get him tempted?

What's Lassana Diarra up to these days?

That's the type of player Celtic need.

Brown was sensational on Wednesday and looks a transformed player. We also have Bitton, Stefan, Armstrong, McGregor all to fight for the CM places. With Henderson on the fringes. Brendan will probably want to offload 1 anyway before bringing someone else in. And ensure it is quality.

See if we never signed another player this season, we are miles ahead of what any one of us could have imagined a couple of months ago.

Joe Ledley...? Bring the guy back, wouldn't cost much, Palace have somehow been spending ludicrous amounts lately, they wouldn't be hurting to let him go for around £2 million. Love to have him back in our midfield.

Yip, that's what usually happens when any kind of big name comes up, his knees have gone aswell so he'd be off the park more than he's on it.

Nabil Bentaleb. Been told to train with the younger players because he wants away.

He looked a great talent a year or so ago.

The big man would still be quality in a more defensive role. He can tackle spot a pass and control a game. His experience would also be priceless!

Imagine we got Snodgrass for behind Griffiths.

He's a BR player as well. Puts in some shift.

He's at Marseille. Was tipped to start in the Euros before injury

    His replacement was Schneiderlein.

In fairness Schweinsteigers legs are gone. Would still stroll it up here no doubt but as stupid as it sounds I'd worry about his ability to play a high intensity pressing style. Even if it is only in Scotland.

I'd still blow my ding a ling if he came. Danny Ings would be unreal as well.

Gerrard's experience and know how would be invaluable to the way Brendan wants to set up his team and how they are going to play.

It could be Brendan has made overtures to Gerrard to sound him out and has
told the Board that Gerrard is the man he wants for DM.

Gerrard if he were to come, obviously a wage package would have to be agreed, possible bonuses and incentives, and perhaps with an eighteen month contract, it could well be Brendan is thinking Gerrard would take McGregor's position in central midfield and that would give him two combative central midfielders in him and Brown to balance the speed merchants he has upfront, Forrest, Dembele, Sinclair and Griffiths.

The more I think of it, the more I think it is Gerrard, that Brendan has in mind.
