Why not, when ever he played for west ham (admittedly not a great deal) and the Republic he has been excellent..Think he would be great competition for Gordan. And free

I would've taken randolph back when he was at motherwell and now he has premier league and international experience...

Randolph is a decent keeper but I'm unsure. I mentioned Michel Vorm in another thread, would rather him.

Why would he be free? Did he only a sign a one year deal at West Ham last summer? Surely not!

Fair enough, I hadn't seen that! Surely they'd still be looking for a fee though. As you said, he'd be great competition for Gordon, definitely a step up from Bailly and Fasan.

He wouldn't come here as cover, though.

I'd imagine the majority of the Championship would be willing to give him a shot.

I wouldn't expect hed be coming for cover, a fight for the number 1 jersey which I reckon he would win... Anyway its only a rumour a very thin one at that

He wouldn't be coming just as cover though, he'd be coming to make the number one shirt his own. Like any position, competition is healthy. I think he'd fancy his chances of managing to dislodge Gordon and be our regular.

Cover or competition it essentially means the same thing...He won't be guaranteed a start at first. Regardless of whether some folk think he is a better keeper than Gordon.

Why come here when he could go elsewhere and walk into the side earning more money.

I also think we could do better.

Maybe BR wants him as number one.. Would we get a lot better for that price?

    Don't know, mate.

I'd like to think we could though. If we are looking for a new number one then it shouldn't be an area we go cheap on anyway.

As I say, I'd ask Michel Vorm if he was interested in being more than just Spurs' benchwarmer.

Yeah mate I reckon BR is on the lookout for a new number 1.. Id say Vorm is on some wedge with Spurs mind and defo wouldn't come cheaply.. I also cant see us splashing the cash on a Goalkeeper with the the rest of the squad needing strengthening, that's why I reckon Randolph would be a good move..

Personally don't think Randolph is better than Gordon.

Dont know how much truth is in it but being an Ireland and Celtic fan I would say after seeing both in action Randolph is the better keeper. Would be a brilliant signing. His kicking in particular is brilliant.

    Neither do I really.

I think Randolph is an agile, shot stopper however shot stopping is one of Gordon's biggest plus points.

How is Randolph with crosses and commanding the box/defence?
