    Given would be a fantastic signing, even if just on loan.

    I am not convinced Man City would loan Given to Arsenal a) major rival b) they don't need the money.

    So hopefully Hart will start on Saturday.

    Read on Wikipedia that Given was in the Celtic youth squad and released in 1994. What a faux pas that was as he could have been our no.1 for the last 10-15 years.

    Therefore here's hoping Given wants to return to Paradise to become Celtic's no. 1

    Josip Šimunić could be worth a punt. Can play CB and LB, a big monster of a player. He can get emotional easily, and freak out, getting a red card sometimes. That's the issue with him. But at his best, he's class. Extremely good level of technique for a 196 cm bassa.

    It's not like Samaras' condition. Josip can get angry sometimes, he's not got a lack of confidence. Getting angry is an issue when the ref cheats, or a teammate gets brutally tackled. Josip is comparable to Brown in terms of behavior. Clean off the field, he hasn't done anything bad, AFAIK.

    That's why I outlined his behavior. A cross between Hooiveld and Brown. Brown hammered Lafferty in an OF last season. Šimunić would've ended his career.:56::56:
    As a player, his best qualities are aerial prowess, positioning, technique(in an interview with some NT players, a question about the best dribbler in the team was asked, and the players said:˝Joe. Even though he's a CB, he controls the ball perfectly.˝) and bravery. Mick busted his heid 2-3 times for us. Šimunić would do that, too, if necessary to stop a goal. With him at the back, we would be a lot safer against corners and crossed FK-s. Don't know do you rate my NT, but he's a staple CB/LB there.

    Well just heard Senderos is out for 8-9 months so .. kind of mixture of glad we didn't get him but then again if he did come here maybe he wouldn't have ruptured his achilles...
