    i dont think there are many fans on here who would generally agree with that.our expectations should be a reflection of the current footballing environment, and we are never going to be one of the 16 most competitive teams in europe year in out.

    we should expect to be making the group stages every year, and once there we should expect to be picking up points, putting in good performances and every now and then progressing from the group. but to say we should 'expect' to be in the last 16 every year is just misguided, pie in the sky thinking. even under MON this shouldnt have been the expectation

    None of them are realistic.

    This isn't football manager either, we can't simply just sell the likes of Biton, Johansen and Rogic all in a oner then expect Lawell and co to hand the manager £20m quid:smiley-laughing002:

    Looking down south to do business is probably the worst idea we could have. Pretty much no value for money in terms of the budget we operate on, at least. Unless there are feesable bargains like Commons, Ledley etc then we should stay clear.

    Even since we got those guys in 4 or 5 year ago things have changed drastically. Getting the likes of Hooper for £2.5m to come up here after 20 goals in the Championship would prove impossible, now.

    Don't really rate Marc Wilson, from what I have seen I would prefer Jozo, Erik and Mulgrew at centre half. Probably rate him about the same as Boyata.

    That and the fact he is probably earning far more than he is worth, considering he has been in the Premier League quite a while now.
